I wonder how that pre-release editor never got shared on web, does it require some kind of online authentication?
Pretty sure it doesn't (beyond the standard steam stuff) -- or if it does, it'd be trivially easy to crack.

However, consider that the only people who had access to the editor were kickstarter backers who paid over $250 for the privilege. Doesn't really mesh with "ok, let's dump this on a warez site lol" (in fact, many of them got angry at the idea that the editor should be released to 'lesser' backers and preorderers when the delayed release date was announced).

Pre-ordered this bad boy a few days ago (I'm not at all butthurt about Steam). I missed the Kickstarter and I haven't played the old Shadowrun games, but from the previews it looks like this could be pretty much the turn-based tactical game in an interesting setting that the new XCOM should have been. :)

For all the good KS has done, it also has managed to congregate a lot of pretentious and entitled dicks around the projects.

Well if your pc breaks you cant play the game you pay for...

Yeah, and I try to avoid distribution platforms that mimic the effects of my PC breaking down, especially if the reason is because they've decided to treat all paying customers like potential pirates. I'm not sure how anyone could have experience buying things from places like GOG and not see why people think Steam is pretty poor.

People still using that retarded excuse to justify the lack of a proper looting system. At least people found a way to improvise it on the editor.
By "found a way to improvise" you mean "did what the developers told them to do" I presume?

Anywho: I'm thinking of a secret number of copies of Shadowrun Returns (>7, <19) which I'll Steam gift to the less fortunate of us here at the Codex who live in potato and so on.
I enjoy how I make you insecure enough to feel as though you have to one-up me. :)

Offline mode works indefinitely now, that's not an issue.

Anywho: I'm thinking of a secret number of copies of Shadowrun Returns (>7, <19) which I'll Steam gift to the less fortunate of us here at the Codex who live in potato and so on.

However, every time some apologist excuses the Harebrained bait-and-switch from here on out, that number will decrease by 1.

Blaine, I am not in potato land, but in India, and the exchange rate is a lot shittier. Consider me for your Shadowrun Returns?

I really hope I get a SR steam key from you Blaine.

Wait a minute... Roguey giving free Steam keys for SR?

I am a 3rd worlder atheist bisexual male if it helps my case...

Also Steam pricing, the Dollar conversion rate is really steep for a poor third worlder like me. What about social justice?

How's the loot so far ?

yeah the indignity i suffered cause I really can't afford SR now, was sucking up to Roguey. but since Blaine is competing, Ill try my chances...but honestly I don't think I'll get any fat loot... Join Date and all. Since I already grovelled from Roguey, I doubt I can sink any lower so I will continue begging

I want the steam key. me me me. Please me. I am best KKK member. I love RPG gaming. RPing the relationships I can have in games is the best! Mass Effect woot! Shadowrun looks lots like Mass Effect. I loved the shooter game on 360. One of the most interesting worlds. I hope Returns is like that. Please give me Shadowrun Returns steam key please.

Guys. Should I buy SRR on day-one? I didn't backed the project because I wasn't aware of it... But I'm excited now. Still, I have some doubts about going full price for it... What to do? :/

Who knows... either way most games have online activation or something like that.
