Meta knowledge is a powerful thing to have indeed.

I didn't abuse blood salvo as much, in retrospect.

You don't have to use Blood Salvo, you can just activate Blood Shield (which doubles your health IIRC) + Auspex and shoot people or cast Purge (which works on every humanoid enemy, including bosses) and walk around smacking them in the face with a Fire Axe while they're busy coughing blood. Of course if you go all the way with Thaumatorgy you can blow people up with Blood Boil.

I recall only being able to beat tentacle monster with him by exploiting a glitch where her combat AI wouldn't activate.

It was my first character, and trying to experience as much of the game I invested hard in social skills. I probably got the impression of Tremere being weak because of that, armed with meta knowledge my other characters were more optimized.

That could be it but there's also the fact that all of the vampire powers were much less effective (or not at all, many were immune) against bosses in the official version of the game (even with the last 1.2 patch) which hurt Tremere the most probably (blood mages). Unofficial patch changed that (in addition to buffing the Steyr Aug damage) even in it's Basic version, before Wesp even took over years ago IIRC.

Strap Yourselves In Pathfinder: Wrath
Meta knowledge is a powerful thing to have indeed.

Is it really meta knowledge to think that a flamethrower sounds like a really fucking good idea in a game about vampires?
Kuei Jin are another story. Didn't know anything bout them.

Also it's not that good of an idea when you are a vampire yourself.
Moreover, I think the flamethrower only appears in the last act and on one or two vendors at best. I think it is easy to miss.

Edit: Still, with Blood Shield and the fire axe, one was practically a terminator, even without Blood Salvo and Blood Boil.

In any case I would never use a flamethrower as a vampire. You can use things that are just as deadly to everyone else without putting yourself at risk. Unless you know that it doesn't really matter because the game doesn't account for it.

Damn, Gangrel is satisfying so far, even in the tutorial. I like that raven spell and the feral claws is really satisfying. <3

I would vomit all over someones carpet if i saw a vampire game with dungeon siege 3 combat.

If they were making a Bloodlines sequel, it would not be like DSIII, but the melee and shooting aspects would feel more competent.

Fuck, I forgot. For that sweet SWEET 3XP you have to have a high Persuasion AND Seduction to resolve the Jennette thing. :(

Maybe I can make your life even worse by pointing out that fulfilling the tutorial gives you XP too. Hope you didn't skip that~
I usually skip it and then use the console to get the 2xp or whatever it is and the lockpick.

Gangrel was my first. In the way of special interactions, there's only a little bit of special dialogue with Beckett, but what little there was was really a treat at the time.

When is that Obsidian Vampire game with guest writer Brian Mitsoda coming out?
