The only room they had "cut" is the one where you must turn the lights on to melt a iron door, which was pretty bland in the original tbh.
they didn't cut that room, they just removed the melting door and moved that room to the minecart section with Luis. It's the same room where you must shoot the hive during a merchant's sidequest.

The game is kinda pervy sometimes: Ashley's boobs have jiggle physics, the camera points at Ada's ass everytime she gets on screen (Her booty almost transparents), the female cultists wear highheels under the robes, etc. But some weirdos keep crying about some jokes being removed.
but a camera shot of a piece of cloth is too far for them.

i don't know how to edit a post to insert quotes, but i was infromed dude got mass reported by re4r "fans". link updated

Make the Codex Great Again! RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Serpent in the Staglands Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Not sure what's going on in my case, but they don't get stunned when I shoot them in the head. They don't even flinch. I tried again just now and one guy completely ignored being shot in the face as he rushed and grabbed me.
The difficulty is way higher than it was in the original game, but mostly because the combat feels very inconsistent (which is by design, but I'm not a fan of that).
The original game had very tight and predictable mechanics - you always knew what animations/moves Leon and enemies will perform, the movement was very solid and gamey, and all of the enemies had predictable behaviors. The remake, on the other hand, is very "loose" - just like in RE2Remake, enemies tend to have inconsistent hit reactions (sometimes a headshot makes them flinch, sometimes it makes them to fall on the ground, sometimes it sets them up for a melee attack, and sometimes they just tank the damage and keep going).
I get why you don't like this, but as a horror game fan I'm very happy to read it. We probably agree that veering away from "survival horror" gameplay and closer to "horror" makes this remake less faithful to the original. In my case I am pleased by the departure; I love it when a game isn't so easy to dissect into "I have 11 bullets and each zombie takes 3.2 shots to kill and a knife stab is worth 0.45 bullets so I can either shoot 4 times or shoot 3 times and stab once or shoot twice and stab 3 times so ..." In horror, I much prefer "well I've got 11 bullets left and there are a lot of them so here goes" :)

I've argued against the lack of consistency before, and whilst the remakes do have very game-ified elements, including a firm hand that's guiding, I'm coming to appreciate that in some aspects. There were several challenging moments where I had to do several retakes.

To weakly complain: I did like how desperate for ammo I felt during the last third, though it would never let me hit empty, it's not that kind of game. Around that time there wasn't much to work toward with upgrades, and I was left feeling there was an hour or two of fat to be trimmed. At a certain point I was only wanting to be done with it.

edit: Concerning the OST. I hated the "big moments", but there were a few nice ambient style tracks with some nice harsh-noise flavor in them

Finally beat professional on a fresh save with zero bonus unlocks. What a nightmare. A lot of the regular fight encounters were much tougher than any of the bosses. Luis cabin fight, water room, dual garrador, wrecking ball, regenerator encounters were all more of a challenge than the bosses.

Don't think I enjoy suffering enough to get S+ on professional though.

If they skip Code Veronica again I will be fucking pissed. Nobody wants a remake of 5.

I want Dino Crisis 1, 2, and then Code Veronica. After that they can stop with the remakes.

It's always pathetic to see consumers complain meanwhile they still buy every new product that comes out.

Of course they will skip CV again. You already bought RE4 Remake day 1 why would they go back and do what you want now?

If you don't like it then stop buying. Otherwise, shut up and CONSUME.

Huff radon gas.
This is a sentiment we can all rally behind
Trying to get rid of me again? I'm never going to leave of my own volition.

RE4 is shit. RE4 Remake is also shit. And you are incapable of convincing me otherwise.

Jiggle physics, porn mods, and shooting bells doesn't make a game great, unless you are a pathetic simp. If that sounds like you, then maybe you're the ones who should huff gas.

It was a fucking joke you 50 iq subhuman

I dunno, 50 IQ seems overly generous for someone who sticks around in a thread for a game he detests.

You'd think any functional adult would calmly make the arguments about the game they dislike and then leave the discussion, but this guy just keeps on going.

I can only imagine that someone from one of the nu-RE dev teams fucked his mother. Very little else would explain this level of obsession.
