some fag up there defending uncharted's gameplay and writing now just to shit on rem4ke LMAO
Lmao Uncharted 4 has great shooting mechanics, way better than the re4 remake, go play the game first
I have. Uncharted 1 is an absolute pile of shit. 2 and 3 are the definition of popamole. 4 has the best animations - the gameplay is the exact same - but it's nowhere near enough to carry that snoozefest of a game.

At least enemies in RE4 actually chase you down.
Uncharted 1 is meh, but uncharted 4 has great shooting mechanics, it's a shame that game has like 6 chapters of nothing but walking and dialogue, i did play alot of the mp in uc 4 and uc3 and the gameplay is great, tons of combat options, great sound effects for the guns, animations, feel

Uncharted 4 needed proper shoulder swapping. Has the same problem as The Last of Us. Over the shoulder view while holding L1/RMB is also too close. A crouch to take cover without actually being by cover would have been nice. Liked the mobile action, though, when the setpieces didn't force you into cover.

For somebody who claims to be so passionate about old school survival horror returning I've never once seen you talk about Tormented Souls or Signalis or some of the other throwbacks. You seem like a fraud.
Supreme RE4 fanboy & gaylord for his loverboy Leon still cannot fathom the reality unfolding in front of him that his beloved RE4 is a total dumpster fire. It's sad to see it, but also satisfying to be right yet again.

How's that ass feeling, you big queen?

Yes it's cut.

And I'll tell you the same thing the RE4 fanboys told me when I didn't like what Crapcom did to RE2 Remake;

It's not a Remake, it's a Re-Imagining. Get over it.

No. I'm not a freaking chatbot.
Okay, am I the first person to write a full version review?

The action is definitely improved. As gamers who have played the demo will know, knife parrying, movement, and moving shots are now possible. Unfortunately, Leon's kicks have been nerfed. It was nerfed to make it more realistic, just like it was in the demo.

It feels like the difficulty has been lowered compared to the original. The lake town was a pretty difficult area to start with, and it's now much easier. I'm sure other stages will have similar difficulty adjustments.
So far, so good, but I doubt anyone who played the original would have a reason to play this game. Well, if you're a fan, chances are you're not writing this review, you don't care, and you're enjoying the game.

No one can deny that Biohazard is a console game, right? Console gamers tend to prioritize action and graphics, and I think RE4 succeeds in that regard.
You might be tempted to argue that "console gamers have other things on their minds".

Well, I have to say that I've seen a lot of console games where the only advancements are in the graphics and action.
Sometimes there are advancements in quests and exploration, but most of the time it's just action and graphics.
I'm not a core Biohazard fan, so I'm writing this when I could be playing the game, and all I can say is that if you've played Biohazard 4 and aren't a fanboy, wait for a sale, or wait for pirated. :M

Gee, it's a good thing they added MOVEMENT to RE4. I was really missing that in the original game.
I mean, the controls feel better. That was it, my mistake.
My English is not very good, so I can't express the difference in control from the demo. It feels a little less heavy and a little lighter.

I've playing until you reach Ashley on the church. I had a very fun time so far, really like what they did in terms of level design and how the areas have been redesigned. The game has the same formula as the original, I think it's the "safest" remake Capcom has done recently, it is very similar to the original game in a lot of parts

Btw, Mercenaries mode has been announced as free dlc. Launches in two weeks:

IGN interview from 2004 proves that this Remake moves the franchise even further away from it's Resident Evil essence with this new control scheme, and proves that the likes of IGN have been pushing RE towards the action shooter genre for a long time. The 10/10 they gave to this remake makes much more sense now.

IGN: You mentioned that the US press doesn't necessarily like the control mechanics in the Resident Evil series. Well, we do like the updated camera in RE4, which has a profound bearing on how control works -- and for the better. We actually like it very much. It feels good. But can you please, please add a strafing option so that Leon can quickly move from left to right to avoid attacks?

Kobayashi: Actually, when we were developing it, we were really thinking about putting that kind of option there. But the more we thought about it, the more we figured that would make it a Splinter Cell-like game and we didn't want to go into the shooting/army type genre. We wanted to keep enough of the Resident Evil essence in the game, yet still change it enough to offer a new feeling. So we made an active choice not to include a strafe in there.

From the sounds of it, while RE4 was a big departure from the classic games, the developers at least had some integrity left in them to not allow RE4 to slide to the bottom of the sad pit that is 3rd person action shooter games. Unlike today where everything is just flavor of the month action shooter games that are totally forgettable and aren't even worth your time and money even at half price.

Code Veronica is one my fav, after RE 2 original. Never understood why it's so disliked. Here on Codex and other places. I found it campy fun with good tank-control combat, and it's also a pretty large game. Claire is also cute.

I really disliked the switch from pre-rendered backgrounds to fully (ugly) 3d environs in CV. It allowed them to do some fancier stuff with the camera but felt like a certain something was missing.
The gameplay is boring. e.g Switching characters between Steve and Claire all the time reduces the significance of resource management. The general structure of the level design & progression is less complex and interesting than the prior games. There's less replayability, for example character select resulting in different story and challenges in RE1 is gone. Scenario A/B from RE2 is missing. Randomized elements, unlockables and active choice events from RE3 is gone. It's ugly, as you say: gains absolutely nothing from going full 3D, unlike almost any other franchise that made the transition to great results (Duke Nukem 2 to Duke Nukem 3D as one example). The story and presentation went from relatively grounded, as well as impressively stylish at the same time, to weirdo cross dressers and steve bullet time (or just Steve anything) and other absolute trite. All the innovation and nuance from 1-2-3 is completely gone. It's absolute nonsensical trash. Yeah, Resident Evil 4 lost a lot of the naunce too, but it made up for it in other ways (solid gameplay rollercoaster of awesomeness). Code Veronica has absolutely ZERO redeeming qualities, I can only assume for one to like it they must have a crossdressing fetish, or otherwise is a drooling retard.

Hiroki Kato (director) is a complete tool, clearly. Zero talent. It's not a case of selling out here this time, it's a case of a shitlord Dragon Ball Z cocksucking, Pachinko machine-loving, played-with-dolls-as-a-child type getting free reign. Doesn't know how to parse quality from shit. I refuse any other explanation.

I know you've killed what few braincells you had by abusing the bottle, but I'll play along: what are some of its redeeming qualities?

Have the authoritative tranny review,

You know I thought this was a real woman for a long time? As soon as I saw a thumbnail, my tranny radar went on full alert (only trannies draw pictures of themselves as video game characters, real women fucking never do that), and the unconvincing voice only confirmed that... but a friend I knew swore to me that it was a real woman and I believed him. I had Perception 8 but the naivety debuff brought it down to 1. Never trust what your retard friends tell you.

Tank controls, classic resi evil cheese, fine puzzle solving and exploration that came along with that era, and a phenominal soundtrack. Probably my favorite Resident Evil soundtrack.

Wow am I witnessing someone with standards ITT?

Tank controls in and of themselves are not a virtue, unless there is a good game attached.
Classic RE cheese....no. CV has a completely different style of cinematics, presentation, tone, writing, character design and so on. Did you actually play 1-3, or only the remakes of each?
"fine puzzle solving and exploration" nah it's less sprawling, demanding and engaging than the OGs.
Soundtrack I'll allow, given the high degree of subjectivity involved with music, as well as it obviously having some valuable composition, such as the save room theme. Overall does not come close to touching RE1 and 2 music though. Again making me suspicious you never actually played the OGs.

If you wanna bring up cutscenes and cinematics Code Veronica did all of that better at the time (voice acting not included, obviously).

Some of it didn't age well like the Wesker vs Alexia fight scene because it was switching between cinematics and cutscenes but it was a step forward.

Edit

Fuckin nudex still screws my posts up.
