Seriously. Why has every RE game since 7 stuck every female character with some horrible, hysterical, histrionic woman voice? Even Claire was like that in RE2R. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but Mia, Claire, Jill, and now Ashley have all got horrible voices with the exact same kinds of flaws. Jill was worse than the rest, for obvious reasons relating to RE3R's awful writing, but they're all bad. Ada kind of escaped this in RE2R, but that's likely on account of her character being more cool and collected.

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about here? What exactly makes Ashley's voice so fucking annoying? I can't perceive any kind of uptalk or other immediately obnoxious vocal ticks. Can't talk about the other RE remakes, but the one Ashley is using in RE4:R sounds so unnatural, respectively really really phony. The stuff you'd hear if you were to type in and look for "My workday in my sweet office w/ my Latte"-videos on Twitter or YouTube. Something that absolutely does not feel right in this kind of setting.
