Eh, I'm still somewhat interested in the game (should it ever reach a playable and complete state) and don't mind reading about its progress once in a while.

The patch notes are great! How else would I know they included the informative "stuck in armor" fight message?

I just read the entire thread and this is pure gold, been laughing all morning, it started with so much hope, so many people saying it was too good to be true and then starting to believe in it.

Isnt that the gaming industry in a nutshell?

No, because the people of the Codex do not attempt to make the largest amount of profit out of it.
Depends on the kind of profit we are talking about... that feeling you get when you are pessimistic about something, and turns out you were 120% right, that is worth more than a couple bucks.
Of course it can also be irritating when it takes them 6 months to figure it out.
Anyway, back on topic, the game they set out to make sounds beautiful, even after this crash and burn, i hope they get there some day.

Too much to translate it all. As usual, the biggest changes will happen on 9/11: druid and witch rituals are implemented and the combat screen becomes scrollable.

Looking at all those fixes I can't help but wondering what actually did work in the initial release...

Never before have I been more interested in knowing just what the fuck happened during a game's pre-release development cycle
What i can gather from what ive read?
Everything that could go wrong went wrong. With that in mind they chose to release the pre pre pre alpha build and gave up on sleeping for a couple months, thinking that it was better to release than to let the dream die.
Or something along those lines.

The Codex should do an interview with them. I'm sure a lot of people are wondering :)
