Oh, the story and writing are great as always. But the "gameplay" consists of playing roulette. I had pretty shitty luck when I played it and got infuriated to no end, wishing it were done in literally any other way. Some of the early Rance games had pretty bad gameplay, but only this one actively pissed me off.

From the Wiki:
To lift Mouri Motonari's curse either take the Mouri family bonus at the start of the game, or do the following:

1. Defeat the Takuga House and recruit Sakamoto Ryouma. Do not let her leave your army until you have at least completed step 4.
2. Search for the dungeon in Izumo (requires Kouhime and Sill). This may be done before step 1.
3. While you are at war with the Mouri House, select the event 'Ask Ryouma about Motonari'. This event will be available in any of the Mouri/Takuga House's original provinces that you control at least one territory of.
   • Note that this event will not be available until you have fulfilled at least one of the following conditions:
     • The Oda House has been at war with the Mouri House for more than 5 turns. These turns are counted in the same way as they are for the event where the all-out battle is proposed.
     • You have seen the post-battle event where Mouri considers having Teru marry Rance. Provided that Teru is a member of the Mouri House then, unless some other post-battle event takes the place of this one, this event will trigger after an army battle which has both Rance and the cursed Mouri Motonari present.
4. Go through the dungeon in Izumo until you fight an enemy called Daidaara (だいだーら) on the 7th floor. After winning this fight you will have an event and if you wish, you can leave the dungeon immediately after this.
5. When it is Mouri's turn, Mouri Motonari's curse will be lifted and he will fight like a regular unit (which is actually bad news for you in army battles, unless you killed him so much that his HP has become very high).

• Note: If you have not seen the event where Mouri's curse is lifted, then his curse hasn't been lifted. You can defeat the Mouri House with Daidaara dead, but Mouri still cursed.

If you capture Motonaris domain before lifting his curse on Kenshin route you will get a game over.

Yeah, just finished Kenshin's route. It was very good, there was a point where Xavier was racking up the points for the race and I had to step up my game. Still got Ran's left to do, but I'll go back to Rance 6 for now and push on through that first.

Really wish Mangagamer would hurry up with the remaining games, I want to play the next entry already.

Today I've discovered there's a free spinoff game for Sengoku Rance called Three for the Slash! Thrust! Burn! I tried it and while very short, it's also quite fun and has a very cute villain. Try it out if you've missed it like I did.

Also a bit of stamina management and team comp setups like the longer dungeons in 6 (A, B teams setups) with what looks like a weapon specialization system. Now we're talking. Shit looks real good.

Basically there's two routes that you want to get. The "True Route" and the """"dificult"""" "NTR-avoidance Route". The True route has you collecting all transformations/Hentai's which means letting everyone fuck your onee-san. The NTR-avoidance route requires you to find a faster way through each of the three dungeons, which will let you clear the dungeon before any of the monsters can get their hands on your sister.

For example, in the water dungeon the boss of the Kappas is just chilling in his room and you can simply walk up to him and punch his shit in instead of visiting the prison like the game wants you to do. This level of freedom may sound cool, but it becomes a burden when you're doing the other dungeons as any accidental run-in with one of the rape events means having to reload your save. Aside from that, the regular way of progressing through a dungeon has so much more story and CG's that it really felt like I was missing out when doing the NTR-avoidance route. The whole route is kind of a meme anyway because onee-san still gets tortured, raped by a plant and turned into a butt so a purefag like me is fucked regardless. I think they should've unlocked the NTR-avoidance route as a New Game+ or not include it at all since it's pointless anyway.
