Those kickstarter are really a good thing, it solves completely the piracy problem, the game is paid already so if its torrented , no big deal. And it also allow me to say a big fuck you to EA , fuck you syndicate shooter, fuck you utlimate garage sale, fuck you bioware facebook ultima ! Here comes a new golden age of rpgs!

'No,' says Bobby Kotick, "it belongs to me."
'No,' says the biodrone, "it belongs to Bioware."
'No,' says Jay Wilon, "fuck that loser."

I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose...

Kickstarter.

A place where the artist would not fear the censor,
where the story would not be bound by petty romances,
where the dialogue would not be constrained by the VA.

And with the sweat of your brow, Kickstarter can become your refuge, as well."

not a huge fan but i will pledge, it might turn into something gold, or something decent. In the end it cant be as bad as the shitty games we receive these days from AAA mainstream devs.

For me, a good romance is one of the central pillars of what makes a good RPG. If they took romance out I'd probably downgrade my pledge. Without amazing and loveable characters I just don't think it would pack the same emotional punch.

Come on man, BG2 and PST both had romances, and those were pretty good games, right? So romances are fine. As is RTwP. As are crappy cinematics shoehorned into the game for no reason.

I like your handy meme answer but I still do not remember any romances.

It's handy because it's a damn emoticon, dawg. But yes, you can romance companions. You can kiss Annah and fuck Morte in the eye-socket.

Guess you're not much of a charmer, eh? Pretty sure the options for Grace exist too but I always went after that hot demon ass.

I do not want to sperg out, but PS:T being 2e succubi were still Tanar'ri ergo demons, whereas a tiefling's lower planes ancestor could very well be a devil. You make no sense, son.

You can totally avoid romances in Torment (if you call that kiss a romance) and BGs. At least if they have romances in this game I hope they're as nonintrusive as that, that playing both BGs two times I've never stumbled upon them.
Of course, it could be that I never found them because I wasn't interested in the least to talk with the BG NPCs.

Honestly I always just happened upon that as a result of mining companion conversation for XP. Knowing the people making the game I'd wager this type of thing will be included but likely incidental and nowhere near as derpy and juvenile as Bioware's sad implementation.
