:hmmm:

Hm. treave, how one does spot a slave in Methuss? Clothes?
They wear a collar.
As far as I remember, the only thing that marks one as a slave is a collar.

Presumably people in town don't know each and every slave.

So... can Runde pass for one to gain entry into the city and pretend to be doing errands for his non-existent master? Hiding in plain sight is as good as Invisibility.

:M

Edit:
Have Runde pick a group that he thinks can pose as slaves and monitor the situation.
Runde is the only one. He has first-hand experience and a basic command of the language to understand what is happening around him.

They don't need to speak any languages, they're there for muscle in case things get hairy. Runde can't do much more than passively observe otherwise and the whole point of sending him is to give Lucy a safety net, so sending him alone would defeat the purpose.

Well, I thought the point was to know if Lucy is in danger before applying muscle.

But fine. If we think we can sneak in a few more 'slaves', I am fine with it.

There might be a problem if those get captured, though.

Yeah, that's what I meant, they aren't to interfere unless she's about to die. If she is, though, I want more than just Runde on the spot.

Sphere diplomacy.
Nuwa diplomacy.
Seiji diplomacy.

I think we are going to run of LPs before running out of diplomacy options.

Anyway, what's your plan? Haven't seen you proposing or supporting any.

I can drop Lucy, in fact, I thought archaen's plan to be 'drop Ontoglia' with a few added lulz.

Don't forget Naim diplomacy - when we told Naim the truth and he shot us in the eyeball and murdered us.

Listening to Lucy mooing out the whole story would be really cool, actually, but I want Petze to take some scouts in for support. They aren't to enter the town for any reason, unless it's to bail out Lucy. That's all they're there for.
Actually, send Runde with them, since he's the brains of the operation.
So, something like this:
Locations and tasks:

Yuiria – Investigate the Grand Temple for angels and visit the Adventurer’s Guild for news on the expedition.
Zayan
Aria

Virtue Forest – Join Fortunio’s camp and parlay with the new bandits.
Rin
Arlin
Blue
Green
Purple
Pink
Orange
Red

Ontoglia – Drop by the Governor’s mansion to broker a deal for more magnatite.
Lucy w/ Runde and his hand picked spies.

Grahferde – Be on standby in case anything happens.
Robust
Boss
Pretze

***

A. Go to Yuiria.

Me thinks you wanted to say Pretze but accidentally listed Runde twice. Anyway, fixed that for you.
I thought it was a given that at least one goblin would be accompanying Lucy. Even if she does carry a billboard with a message for the governor, someone has to tell him that outloud. Procuring a collar to disguise Runde as a slave should not be difficult, but honestly I do not believe this plan will be very successful.

At best, Lucy returns with a "Fuck you" branded on her poor flesh... Can't we teach Lucy Invisibility instead? She does have above average Mana capacity. :M

That one was perfectly legit and we backed out of it with a single timewarp that didn't even fuck up the rest of the world. Much.

Anyway, what about your preferred plan?

I do not believe this plan will be very successful.
Nope. All I care about is that it isn't a disaster, then everything is going to be fine. :M

I think the guards would be able to tell him that. It's not a common occurence when cow advertisers show up in the city.

What? No! What kind of sick animal spoils perfectly good livestock like that? A sign will suffice.
On the other hand, it would be funny to see Lucy, presumably the sluttiest cow alive, covered in tattoos.

I did. Thanks, bro.

I think it was the first time warp, so at that point, we had no idea we could time warp.

I have a feeling that Yuria is going to bite us in the ass if we don't deal with it and if we aren't going to pull some sort of grand heist, the magnatite can wait. I also feel like we need to leave some people in the goblin village because I worry about the adventurers.

Wasted time can equal disaster. That happened in the second book of epic where we could have prevented the asteroid impacting earth by going to the cult base or at least could have gotten laid by completing the impossible mission (though we would have failed it with the options everyone was voting for).

edit:
for now, my vote is flopped to:
go to Yuria with Aria and her brother.
Rin and Lucy handle the bandits.
we forget about the magnatite
everyone else guards the fort

I think you forgot that we got killed numerous times at this point without explicitly being told about it - several times in space (by Rei, while stopping the rocket, by being shot together with Kyrie too, probably), and if it wasn't enough, Shulgi has 'killed' us enough times to come to a conclusion that we are unkillable. Which, knowing Shulgi, is probably a few hundreds times. The dude is resourceful and stubborn.

So, no, that was not the first time warp BY FAR. A fairly minor and mundane incident, all told.

I heard you. While I don't worry about adventurers per se (the bulk of them is in the city right now and we only expect their attack in a month, we are coming to the city partly to talk to them), I share your concerns about Yuiria.

So, about your plan. :M

Is it the same as archaen's, only without Lucy? Or what is it?

Edit: ah, ok. Well, you can count me in a 'forget about magnatite' team too.

I make an obvious joke selection and everyone piles on and votes for it. The love of lulz is strong codex. You know what, I think Ill vote for trusting the Princessness of Rin for negotiation and let Arlin, Boss, and the slime bros and broettes handle the bandits. I think we need to see how Arlin can handle himself. Lucy still goes with Rin in case she needs a bovine missile which can apparently one hit kill the best fighters in Methuss.

Yes, yes, but the point was that we weren't aware of it and therefor we made a choice that would have potentially been a high risk to ourselves. And don't forget that we had the option of sticking with that bad timeline and fighting Shulgi as some sort of half-aborted cyborg. It was a retarded decision with potentially huge story consequences - though it did manage to shut the pro-naim crowd up for a while once we all decided on a rollback.

Well, the Heist plan would have revolved around either kidnapping the mayor's daughter or else intercepting a large shipment that is either already going to a real client or creating a fake client for them to send a large shipment to and robbing the shipment en rout.

But since cow diplomacy retardation has set in, I see no other choice but to vote against the magnatite altogether. It is probably a time-waster anyway.

Hmm.

While I see the other two as somewhat feasible (kidnapping more so than an outright attack), I think any client that would have the funds for magnatite would have to be a well-known entity.

Which is why I found sending a cow from a nobody (at best) or a wanted murderer (at worst) and expecting a shipment in return so hilarious.

Curious why you want a non-human half-elf like Zayan as part of that team given the massive anti-nonhuman field around the place. Did I miss something here or wouldn't she barely be able to move?

She is really trying to impress us and we can give her a chance to actually do so. On the other hand, reading about the mines collapsing and Methuss' economy grinding to a halt could be fun also. :M

The only chance of that working is if the mayor finds the cow more sexually attractive than appetizing and Erd blackmails him with cow molestation allegations.

But in all likelihood Lucy will either die or barely escape with her life, covered in barbecue sauce and with an apple in her mouth.

I want her to get a look at the temple to maybe technomagick a way for us to get around the field. My other concern is letting her observe the adventurer guild forces and having her come back and make our fortress a perfect trap for them.

This is a team we take with us to Yuiria. There are several things to do there, and it is not even certain we will be doing them by ourselves (as opposed to contacting some shady forces).

Who goes inside the temple will be decided at a later date.

What I want is an expert on SCIENCE to take measurements around the temple and come up with a way to negate the field or its effects, or do something about it.

We have Aria to enter it 'normally', we have Erdrick to force the issue and GANBATTE it out, but it would be nice to see if there isn't a third option open. After all, they design their rape dungeons around normal guys with normal thought processes, not around crazy scientists.

That could be a good idea. treave what does Zayan say about the possibility of this? If it is possible she could at least analyze the field, then consider my vote for bringing her as well.

Also might be a good idea, though I doubt seeing them will provide more intel. Standard deathtraps should work, unless she finds out they all wear mithril and she knows how to make anti-mithril or something.

Well, if we get a barbecue sauce and a free apple out of this, I think it would be a net gain!

But yes, I will remove Lucy from my plans for now, or stuff her somewhere where she would be better guarded.

Commanding the anti-bandit forces, probably. :salute:
