Bros, I have another game-stopping bug. Abazigal stays at Near Death forever. I have dealt over 100 damage to him in this state and he still does not die. Apparently it is some kind of script problem, and I am not the first one to encounter it:
Weird. In the thread you linked to, DavidW (author of SCS) states that he caused the bug and posts a fix. But you don't play with SCS installed, right? Anyway, if you do have the abazdrag.ssl file, you could make a copy and try to apply the fix he posts.
The story is not that interesting. I used a Time Stop spam + Whirlwind spam to fight him, and he stayed at Near Death forever, even after the Time Stop expired.

I do not have SCS, but Ascension can also confilct with Unfinished Business, and I have that. I did not need to modify the file after all, as I had another idea to get around the bug, which worked.
<codexian grognard> Do you remember when the Playground was set to 20 posts per page? It made this sort of thing much easier. But this new XenForo shite... it's pure decline </codexian grognard>
Yeah, bro, I know I am the good guy. It is everyone else who seems to have a problem with this.
Not every souls's life is as railroaded as mine.
Well, it would.
I thought she would never leave.
I think we've got a short circuit here. Where's the maintenance when you need it...?
Yeah, yeah.
Aaaaand back to business.
Let's see what you've been fighting with, Sendai.
Wong Fei Hung?! Hell yeah!
Getting hit never seemed like a winning strategy to me.
Either I forgot to kill those before, or this place gets infested really fast.
Time to leave.
Ah, fresh air, finally. When I am making my evil lair, remind me to get some proper ventilation, or just never bring any myconids inside. The spores are EVERYWHERE.
I think I've earned a good night's sleep, in a real bed, don't you think?
I am inclined to agree.
We might consider sacrificing a couple of THAC0 bonuses for AC/HP. The Codex never misses anyway.
I think it is too late to try and invest into dual-wielding, which is a bit of a bummer, but no big deal.
Crom Faeyr/Blackrazor combo would be SWEET, though.
Yeah, it would.
We could use more elemental resistances, but I am not sure which items would be best for that.
I did enjoy my fire immunity when I had it.
We have actually surpassed 3000 kills, and will soon reach 15 million kill XP.
This is a good setup for trash mobs, when we do not need to cast spells.
I truly needed that. Especially the bath.
Now I have a thing or two to deal at home.
I don't think I'm using that any more.
You do not get better backstabbing tool than Blackrazor. You just do not.
15% chance to drain one level. Bitch, please.
That, I am using. Sometimes.
Disappointingly, no new abilities. Just all the +5s changed into +6s.
I didn't even remember I had this.
Too gimmicky.
I vaguely remember this one.
Actually pretty cool. I can finally put that crappy anti-undead mace to rest.
In before we never meet any undead again.
Is it a short bow?
What do you know, it is a short bow. Too bad it sucks. 5% resistance. Not sure if that's funny or sad.
Okay, let's see what's in the basement.
Seriously, 'people appearing out of nowhere' got old a while ago. If I played a drinking game every time this happens, I would die of alcohol poisoning long ago. DESPITE BEING IMMUNE TO POISON.
You are who?
No, seriously. I never needed you in the past, and I doubt I am going to in the future.
Somehow, I doubt that...
I still fail to see why I would need doubt, though.
The funny sad thing is, refusing is the only option. What even was the fucking point of this conversation?
Oh, look, a slayer.
Giving us a slayer to kill at this point is like saying 'we got nothing' by the designers.
Hey, at least it's not fucking Sarevok.
Bored now.
Either I am very unlucky here, or he is immune to vorpal hits.
Sadly, it is probably the latter.
And what is worse, this becomes an annoying standard from now on.
Let's see if he is immune to backstabs too.
Yep. Also, dat damage reduction. So cheap.
Here is a proof of vorpal hit immunity.
This is when I switch to Blackrazor.
Hey, finally an opportunity to use a different ability. (Not that it will help much.)
Range: 20 feet

Through this spell, the Bhaalspawn can expel the taint of their evil sire onto a victim, poisoning those who fail their save vs. death. The effects depend upon the caster's level and are detailed below:
7-9th level: 2d8 + 2/round, slow for 12 seconds, save at -2
10-12th level: 3d8 + 3/round, slow for 12 seconds, save at -2
13-14th level: 4d8 + 4/round, slow for 12 seconds, save at -2
15-16th level: 6d8 + 5/round, slow for 24 seconds, save at -2
17-21st level: 8d8 + 6/round, slow for 24 seconds, save at -4
25th level: 8d8 + 6/round, slow for 36 seconds, save at -4, affects group of targets
Ego Draconis? That was the only Larian game that I managed to finish (only 20h long). Still p.gut but need to clean some stuff (backlog) before venturing into Flames of Vengeance.
I'm amazed that you managed to beat him despite all that acid bombardment and effects. But that's because I'm mediocre d&d player more than that.
P. gut update as always.
