Look! Zombies down the hallway. We should probably just sneak by before they notice us.

What kind of popamole attitude is that? We charge!

Ze Turning! It does nothing!
33.gif
My face! Why is there a slime on my face!
21.gif
Oh shit. Everyone but Roxorowski and Strangelove focus fire on the slimes. It's not like our piercing weapons can hurt the zombies for shit anyway.

Effortless!? Your reckless charge nearly got us all killed!

Have some faith in my strategic genius already. Let's loot this place and rest up at Chateau Spidey.

(And so they did. We identified our shit while we were at it)

Brilliant strategy time, kids! Mrowakus, burn everything!

But won't that hit Strangelove as well?

He doesn't mind. Strangelove! Do you mind at all?

Every container in the dungeon seems like it's intended for a party with masterwork thieves tools, of which the game has handily supplied none :x

We head back to sell our lewt and heal up, the blacksmith refuses to sell us masterwork weapons until we prove ourselves by bringing him the head of a giant. The bastard.

RIP, BROther Strangelove. Eaten by a mutant lobster, sans garlic butter. :salute:

roxor.jpg
That death was entirely avoidable, if only you hadn't been too cheap to equip us all with healing potions
21.gif
Maybe. But would you really want to put your life in the hands of a cleric who fumbles his healing spell when it really matters? Let's loot his corpse and find a replacement.
roxor.jpg
Boor bastard. you deserved a better end than this

(Another loot chest we cant open on a natural 20, with 18 dex and maxed open lock )

Strangelove was a true bro, sacrificing him self so that others could eat tasty lobster. May he smite many liches and drink much mead in the great mead hall in the sky. :salute:

Carry on good sir with this quality LP, the future of Codexia depends on it. For what shall we do with out such quality entertainment?

Kasparov had better last a while. He's the last healer we have in the queue, except for Satori who wants to multiclass. :/

I'm tempted to let in the glorious manliness of The Barbarian :salute:

Alas, I feel it would be unfair to the hordes of hopefuls who've already submitted melee fighters. The queue is long enough as-is. And befor eyou suggest making The Barbarian a cleric, let me preemptively scoff at the notion.

This is getting rather difficult with just 5 people. I'll look into expanding the party to contain a 6th, since we're not using our 3 NPC slots for anything.

Just saying... A, say, human cleric with str 16, dex 10, con 14, int 8, wis 16, cha 10 would be a surefire candidate to replace anyone in our current lineup. Given that we're 1-2 levels below what the encounters are intended for, we run out of healing damn quick.

Also, Grunker, the name has totally been fixed BRO :M

For extra healing, give the Cleric the Scribe Scroll feat. You can then create a bank of Cure Light Wound scrolls relatively cheap. And other useful level I spells too. Same goes for the Wizard.

Regarding lock DCs, there's an item and a spell available that can help you. (think low level - REALLY low level - not talking about Knock, Heroism, Cat's Grace... here). As for the item, sniff around. Hint - think about vendors which used to be useless in Vanilla...

BTW, Jaroo can cast Reincarnation for a very modest price.

Also, you might want to assign hotkeys for common stuff like Charge Attack, 5' step, Scribe Scroll, Coup De Grace, Ready vs. Approach and Full Attack (by pressing Ctrl + [Key]).

Lastly, if you want to hex0r 30 Point Buy:

Scrolls aren't the issue. I need potions, since the cleric isn't always able to reach everyone with his healing spells without provoking a ton of AOOs. we only have 2 melee dudes in the party atm, so he's needed on the front line.

I'll sniff around some more.

Yes, but it's more fun when everyone gets a shot at glory. If someone dies, they stay dead. Including Ulminati. Only reason I reload on a TPK is because the game needs at least one person to make it back to the inn to recruit more party members.

I like the radial menu. Used sparingly, it can be used to convey a little extra information on the combat screenshots and make them easier to follow.

I'm using mad sploitz already. There's a bug in the chargen where, if you roll the stats and click point buy, you're able to drag the stats you just rolled onto the ability array by clicking on the place where they were on the rolling interface. I just roll until one of the stats show up as 13 (usually only takes 1-2 rolls) and drag it over to get the extra 5 points. I chose 30 points for abilities since that's what WotC used in the 3.5 Living Forgotten Realms rules. It seemed more canon than the 25 TOEE gives you, which would result in attribute arrays signifigantly worse than what you'd get from rolling 4d6 drop 1

I'm currently playing the game as well and I'm surprised at the similarities of our playthroughs. One thing that is starting to annoy me a bit is the enemies that you can't attack before they have had their turn. The skeletons in Emridy Meadows, those two green blobs, many of the goblins and kobolds in the Bog. All those just "appear" when battle is started, and you can't seem to spot, locate or target them before they have acted and revealed themselves. I can track them using my ranger's track skill but I can't attack them before hand.

In PNP your entire party would have gotten a surprise round and some free time attacking the guys you ambush. In ToEE it seems only the enemies get surprise rounds. The first enemy to spot you always goes first in the initiative order.

Well, this again is a prime example of why proper preparation is very important in RPGs.
You should really invest your money in potions and other helpful stuff.

That said, rest in peace, fallen adventurers!

Get a non-physically-removed-from-inventory version of FRAPS. I "heard" that its screenshots are small-sized .jpg files that aren't suffering from jpg disease that much. ;) I play in widescreen (via .cfg edit) so I get nice screenshots that way.

Irfanview batch resizes/converts for me just fine. All I have to do is crop the ones with dialogue to make the load lower. The main factor in writing these updates is party member dialogue w/ talky heads. They add up fast.
