Is it really gone? It used to only appear if you opened the gate noisily IIRC. There was definitely a way to skip it in the original version. I remember getting ambushed by it the first couple of times until I found out you could bypass it.

Bypassing fights (read, exp and gold) is bad idea.

By the way, I noticed this screen (7th one from squirm).

I don't remember any area looking like this, could it be from the next module?

Sort of. I’m pretty sure if you skip the Minotaur you have to fight a bunch of centipedes, but I can’t remember. It’s not so much skipping a fight as it is just not triggering a punishing encounter that’s meant to teach you to be more careful in the dungeon (as in: don’t make a bunch of noise in a dangerous area when you’re equipped with sticks and stones)

Bypassing one or two of literally hundreds of fights might be a great idea if your party is too weak and you have to spend a lot of time reloading, waiting for the RNG god to smile upon you. The only reason to not bypass an optional encounter like that would be a good, perhaps unique, reward. Then it is worth it. A little experience and gold is not - for me. Optional is optional, it has it in the name.

how do you stealth exactly?

It depends on your character non combat skills, rogue and DK have stealth, assassination, and such options, cleric, paladin and champions honorable or divine skills/dialog options and so on.
I meant in-combat.
Out of combat game asked me to stealth past some cubes and I just walked while they were in side corridor? was I supposed to activate stealth somewhere?

Idk how it is now, but the mino fight back then was actually easily skippable in theory because all you needed was a stick that you could find earlier (in a niche if you had high PER, maybe?) that you could then push through the grate to open the lever on the other side.

However, the problem was that the interface for that particular shit was completely ass-backwards and I only figured out how it fucking works on my 3rd playthrough, and that was even after trying everything with everything in the previous two because the connection between the stick and the lever was patently obvious - for a long time I thought it was a bug.

Also, skipping the fight was simply a bad idea because it not only deprived you of precious XP for that stage, it also made you miss out on an even more precious actual weapon that is dropped by the mino.

There's no in-game stealth but there is invisible spells for sneak attacks.

I was just filtered by the new village content, 1 vs 1 fight against the Barbarian in the tavern, My level 1 Fighter against a Level 2 Barb, I got the upper hand but he OS me.

The good news is, there's a new companion.

It's the quest where you go find some sword that teleport when people get near it. Turns out some hags are using Illusion magic to lure people. That's the final part of the fight with 1 harpy 2 hags and tons of slimes

I don't remember this, it must be some new content as well.

I hope Pierre plans to add lacking "3d" models, like for player character races mantis and centaur*.
It's really weird this way, only token mode remains if you want to play with those and the characters not look awkward.

*unless i'm blind and they are somewhere?

Finished "Tutorial". Probably hardest tutorial i've played.

In most "tutorials" you need to try to lose, here you try to win.

p.s. Where is horse for Sadina? Need her crystal.

Quest: find the horse for sadina.

ok so at 2nd campfire in tutorial, if I go back to merchants it keeps giving me random spawns between merchant and campfire, which kills another character turn 1. then process repeats

What party you advise, that will actually manage to finish game?

Do not want "walking dead scenario".

p.s. Also, you are supposed to start with lvl 2 characters? Since you are allowed to.

4-5 fights, they are easy anyway

If they kill 1 character, you will be in trouble later, much more brutal fights ahead

Its not like I made the characters.
This is the area with critical hits and damage reduction tutorial so I'm assuming pierre is trying to teach me to die to crits?

So it is ok to level up? I am confused that you start at level 2, it is expected?

Completed the game. TBH fells too short. Around 25 hours to complete the module.

The battle to enter the final castle was insanely hard. However, the final battle was ridiculous easy. A single weird spell killed about 60% of enemies.

What classes are "trap options" and what classes are actually nice?

Good party builds?

I had an amazing time with 6 red wizards.
A little buttfuckery on low lvls, but when they start going, they dont stop.
Nice. Tough i suspect you would do better on low levels with 5 wizards + 1 something else either with divine spells or a pure melee. But i'm just guessing here. Were they all halflings?

No. Stygian humans. With that amount of firepower you do not need melee or divine spells

Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex USB, 2014 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
When does the game start to get difficult? I'm on the default difficulty and so far I've only had 1 battle where I had to pay attention. In terms of my progress, I just beat up the slimes that burst into your cell after you lose all your items and get teleported.

The one battle where I had to pay attention was one of the elemental waves down in the cave. I got hit by a spell and half my party fell off the ledge. I guess the bees were supposed to be challenging too, but I have spells to deal with animals.

Wow there are lots of settings, the fast combat is much nicer. There is even a setting for how much time to give the AI to think. The AI seems really good.
