Anyone tried Locational Damage with Requiem? Requiem's readme says it's compatible, but may cause "balancing issues".
Good / bad / glitchy?
Locational damage is generally good, although it might require tweaking (it can be done via included text file, so not too daunting).

The main problem with Locational Damage mod is that it inevitably relies on Skyrim's slow and unreliable scripting engine every time damage is dealt.

Any mods to make dragon fights less tedious instead of more deadly (they are 1 hit kills with huge bags of HP in Requiem already, plus Bethesda's stupid choice to have them fly around doing nothing 90% of the time)?

It may be a factor light armor+1 handed light weapons, but something that works

Of course, when I played as a mage, dragon fights were all finding a rock or tree to hide behind and just blasting the dragon while they couldn't hit me.

I'm expecting to do more than 1/1000th its HP before it flies around for 2 mins. I can take a giant down in a handful of swings and stagger them so they can't fight back, but dragons are just sponges.

The things were bulky as fuck even as a high level mage.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Thanks for providing me with incline, guys. Installed Requiem a while ago. First thing I did, once I received control was take one step and die from alduin's meteorite. That's when I knew it was gonna be good.

Currently a lvl 4 nord warrior. Looking forward to spending an entire day fighting my first dragon.

This is not sarcastic btw, I'm really liking this mod.

Skyrim Redone is pretty weak sauce.
Not sure if they're serious but within 10 mins of messing round in Riverwood and surrounding area, I got to lvl 5.
Had enough of easy mode thanks, uninstalled and deleted.

Did you read the description at all? I think it's intentional, since you need more perks now to be effective. Progression rate afaik is a lot different from vanilla.

Has anyone tried the G.E.M.S dynamic difficulty mod ?.
It makes Skyrim scale to your level. Why would anyone want that?

The scaling part is whats is what I think is wrong with the mod. In that it's not working. I am killing enemies with such ease that the only way the AI can even touch me is to throw a completely random one shot kill from a forsworn archer yet base health isn't increased at all with any enemy type. I'm to deep in to the game to restart it from scratch. But I really need a mod to at least give me a challenge since I'm walking over vanilla bosses and Dawnguard content. By the time I get to Dragonborn it seems I will be able to just speed run it without even stopping to hit anything.

Re: Skyrim Redone
Hard to put it into words, but I picked High Elves expecting a slightly challenging magic-based playthrough in early game, but found that the Firesparks seems ridiculously effective. Starting at 20 Destruction, I quickly advanced to Apprentice level and started to utilize Fire Rune and Fire Bolt. Not to mention having no penalty attached to casting in Heavy Armor except for -12% Movement Speed.

How can I lose in fights considering that I can:
1. Absorb high amount of physical damage in Steel Plate?
2. Add another layer of protection with Alteration.
3. Set a firerune trap before fights so surviving melee is nearly guaranteed death upon coming close?
4. Trigger sneak attack cast with firebolt which is easier to aim than a bow?

Again, maybe it's the lower level area around Whiterun, but I don't recall just getting in heavy armor and just spamming Firesparks doing much good when I faced bandits in Requiem. It just seemed so 'convenient' in Redone.

Also loot tables being tweaked in Requiem made it very attractive to hunt certain monsters and knowing that bears, sabercats give 4x claws etc. Killing a giant in Redone only gives me 100 coins. It doesn't seem like they modified the loot table at all. Killing a bear in tutorial with a single sneak attack from range is also surprising - followed with the discovery of a single claw ... within the said bear.

SkyRe doesnt get rid of level scaling, just caps bandits i believe, you need another mod to modify that. After all SkyRe is about new perks and skill trees.
Again, loot tables are not the territory of SkyRe.

You are suposed to be strong at later levels, making each fight challenging is a stupid idea and breaks my beloved imershun seeing that bear can be a match for the dragonborn. There is a mod that touches that to set monsters to a certain level, gotta look for it and link it, ill do it later.

You could try one of those.

Dunno, there is merit to making each fight challenging. Roflstomping everyone makes late game boring, and high level should ideally mean you just have a ton of resources at your disposal, not that you can chill while a bear chomps on your neck just because your power level is over 9000.
