Compile Heart-developed dungeon RPG Tokyo Clanpool will launch for Switch in Asia and PC via GOG worldwide on December 19 for $39.99 / €39.99, publisher eastasiasoft announced. It will be localized in English and Traditional Chinese. A worldwide release for the Switch version will follow.

While the PC version was previously planned to be available via Steam, eastasiasoft confirmed to Gematsu that is no longer the case.

I'm not surprised. Valve is compromised.
Remember they sided against customers when they criticized Lab Zero for censoring Skull Girls and Deadlock looks like yet another set of quirky Tumblr OCs.

Valve's approval process is retarded, probably the dude reviewing the game decided one or more of the characters looked too young and gave a 'promotes sexualization of minors' excuse. There are some that look pretty young but the game is relatively tame

While Steam freely hosts titles like Furry Feet, Hero’s Journey, Sex with Hitler, and Summer Memories without issue, Tokyo Clanpool likely faced rejection due to its “Ether Sensitivity” feature.

This unique mechanic allowed players on the Vita to interact via the touchscreen to enhance characters’ skills through a ritual meant to “awaken” their latent Seikon, or political powers. The heroines don ceremonial leotards during this process, which change color to blend with their skin, giving a nudity-like effect as they “heat up” with each touch.

Skullgirls had questionable content? I'm not even sure it is in my catalog anymore. I saw it is on ios but i doubt thar be titties.

Ok checking steam I have two entries and one is missing pics and a dl. It is called Skullgirls endless beta.

And the other entry that actually looks normal is Skullgirls 2.

The game was then ported to Windows, released through the Steam platform, before a dispute between Autumn Games and distributor Konami led to its removal from the console storefronts; it was re-released on both platforms in 2014 as Skullgirls Encore, before a PlayStation 4 port and a version for Japanese arcades under the retitled name Skullgirls 2nd Encore in 2015.

Kind of silly given that the game art was never THAT lewd. I mean, compared to shit like current coomer fighters it was tame.

That is the Barbarian way. The correct way is to establish a civilization of cats nearby and watch them duke it out for your entertainment.

Cats are actually inefficient ratters due to their larger size.
What you actually want are terriers or ferrets.
Apparently his family doesn't want nature to take its course though and forbids such predators from carrying out their duty.

Yeah, crows and seagulls are pretty aggressive. Especially crows which can hold one hell of a grudge. Corvids are basically the bird mafia; you hurt one of them and the whole flock (or murder, rather) puts a hit on you. Australian Magpies in particular like to go for the eyes and do not fuck around.
I think there's one case of a women who's been harassed by crows for like 10 years because she found a dead crow and got too close to it, and the crows watching thought she killed it.

There really should be a law that ratifies "abandonware" as a legal term. If a game is no longer available for official sale anywhere, and is no longer maintained by the original developer, it should be free for public consumption.
Maybe in the EU. I can't see that happening in the USA. That said, it doesn't really matter in most cases, if it isn't for sale, they're probably not going after people for distributing it. Yeah, you could say that games where a superior Amiga port exists where only a DOS version is available for sale should fall into that category, but that's a weird edge case. There's also the odd case like Cookie's Bustle, but I'm really stretching the amount of things that go against it.
The most likely reason companies do not go against 'abadonware' is that sometimes IP ownership require legal legwork to clear it up, esp. if there were bankrupcies along the way. When someone will want to release 'remaster', they are forced to do this work anyway, and then they send cease-and-desist concerning specific title to abadonware sites.

If there would be 'abadonware' law as you proposed, companies would just keep the games 'technically for sale' forever, just like they do with trademarks or professional software.

Half of shitty movie remakes are caused by owners wanting to prove that 'they are still using the trademark' in court. The same goes for 'cease-and-desist', actively defending the trademark is required by law, otherwise they'll just lose it.

Professional software is sometimes kept 'technically in distribution' for decades, because removing it from catalogue requires a write-down of development costs and will show up in a quarterly report as a loss, so it's smarter to leave clearing it up for the next CFO ...
