Insert Title Here Strap Yourselves In I helped put crap in Monomyth
i'd love to see Star Trek: Klingon Academy and Vietcong: Purple Haze on GOG; the former is the best starship combat simulator i've played, the latter is the best singleplayer-focused tactical FPS i've played

I don't know if it was the publisher or GOG, but someone used PS1 gameplay instead of the MS-DOS version. Either way, this is a good one! :-D

So, while posting on a pnp rpg forum about gnolls I thought Myth had Gnoles but turns out it was Ghôls. This made me vote for all three games on GOG. I own the first two I think on disc but never really played them. I watched an evolution vid of the games and they look ... ok. The lore though, oh fuck! That is some golden shit any pnp RPG player should drool over. That is some dark shit. It seems the victors in light become corrupted and the forces of darkness each time like a plague. Now, what modern "souls" games does that make me think of?

The rts part looks pretty brutal at times. I may make a thread on this asking which is your favorite and why, along with links to the other Myth threads and naturally to any resource available out there. That lore reads great. I wonder if there are novels.

The Myth franchise is owned by Bungie which is owned my Microshit. They don't really care that much about their old IP's, except for rare cases such as Age of Empires, and they certainly don't release any games on GOG. I doubt we will ever see these games there.

They only cared about AoE because the guys in charge of the remasters are the same guys who made mods for the originals. They didn't have to hire "real" devs for it.

Bungie is owned by Sony, and the games were published by Take-Two. M$ had no involvement in the dev of the series, other than removing Bungie from the equation when it came time for Myth 3. E: Myth happens to be in the same boat as I assume AoE was preceding the re-releases, in that there's already a dedicated group (Project Magma) keeping the games (or at least Myth 2) updated and running smoothly on modern systems. So the only real obstacle lies in sorting out the rights to the Myth IP.
