Well Realm reborn starts with the hero joining a group of people that have a gift to face primals and for a while that seems the whole plot. Then shifts and becomes very political it has a conclusion that sets the mood for the whole story arc. Is actually well crafted.

I'm at 2.3 now and thus far the story has been totally forgettable. The dialog is unbearably jarring for my taste.

But the gameplay has been fine. I don't have any previous experiences with MMOs, but I think I'm gonna soldier on for my friends' sake. And I'm hoping the story catches on.

I tried the free trial, and I can't do it. It feels like a game catered to women and gay men (no offense). Starting gear for men includes thigh high boots, and one set of moustaches during character creation that make you look like a gayer version of Michael Jackson. A race of people with rabbit ears, another race with cat tails, another race of falafels that look like disturbing chucky the doll kids. World filled with people with their names above their heads and each having some cute unrealistic pet, with also its name above its head. Chicken mounts. An adventurer's guild, and five million adventurers, endless cutscenes and dialogue about nothing, and on and on and on.

This game makes WoW look like a hardcore survival game. How did we go from UO, SWG and EO to this?

It is mindboggling how limited the game's facial customization options are. Highlander men can't have eyebrows. Only Highlanders get thick beards, and even then it's just a couple different shapes. There is only one playable face that looks older than 30, and it's exclusive to male Elezen. Au Ra horns are locked with faces, so if you like one pair of horns but dislike the face, too bad for you. And Hrothgar can't even change their hairstyles at the ingame barber. They have to pay $10 for a fantasia just so they can change their hair.

The game have actually cool set of armors with straps details and everything no sleepwear with huge paudron like wow. There is a whooole lot of variety and for the most part they never used recycled models retextured. Also a lot of dialogue. Well finally is a mmo that has a lot of JRPG in it if you dislike reading is another thing. Wow is rather simple, lazy and also poor in design compared with ffxiv what i see is a biased poster here.

It looks like someone that went in a junkyard with a huge bottle of glue and actually glued all the trash he found. I mean look at that. The character model is awful the body textures are clearly in low resolution compared with other armor parts. An helm that is just empty in the back? Also floating things. And has no practical use to glue a book in your shoulder pads. It looks super clownish. The character hands and feet are actually bigger than the head and the end is super tiny.

Paladins are protectors of the weak and powerless. Here they are protecting players showing their conviction both inside and outside of the game. They protect less fortunate players by ensuring that their graphics can be run on a toaster.

God will provide and faith is his shield, so he likes to keep his head cool with some breezy cloth in the back instead of metal. Do you know how hot and swampy the back of his head gets in a conventional helm?

WoW armor is indeed retarded, but I meant in WoW at least you can jump into the game after a short intro and start playing. In FF14, theres a huge ass intro/tutorial section, and everybody keeps talking for hours.... It's the same problem with over-exposition as in single player RPGs, I just entered your world, I don't give a shit about all these details right now, let me play and work my way into the lore organically.
