After 15 minutes I already knew that this game would suck.

Right after the intro ends and I leave the vault I walk a few steps in a random direction and I see some NPC just sitting on the ground. I go talk to him and turns out that he is just some random "Wastelander" or whatever and he...

...asks for (purified) water.

This memory accessing stuff is a million miles away from Fallout. Why don't they just make their own shitty fucking game rather than using the Fallout license for it?
Because they paid a few million dollars for the IP? Honestly, you guys, just stop. You act like they're fucking your wife (or husband in Jaesun's case) right in front of you. It's a silly video game series. Lighten up and enjoy the derp.

Oh, FFS.

Don't know what's worse, the unlimited ammo or the model. It's like the demented product of a liaison between a sawed off shotgun and a bolt action rifle. My God, the bolt's even on the wrong side!

Trying to imagine using that with the ergonomics is making my brain ooze out of my nose.

Does anyone even know anything about firearms in Bethesda? For all Sawyer's issues he's at least a gun enthusiast and injected some of that into NV.

When the protaganist starts to speak, i feel nausea and sick.

The worst part for me is he sounds like a damn Dragon Age dwarf.

The way Piper moves when she talks through the intercom thingy is hilarious. Also her voice actress is fandub tier bad. The mayor's alright I guess.

Why exactly does the protagonist need to be a pre-war person? It never comes up as far as I can tell, and your stupid fucking son could have just been kidnapped from you under any other circumstances.

A writer/developer with some creativity and intelligence would have had the player character be constantly horrified and shocked at the culture shock between their world and the post-war world, which would have been interesting and potentially even emotional with a voiced protagonist, but alas the player has to be a cool sarcastic action hero who miniguns Deathclaws in the cock 5 minutes after being a normal suburban husband/wife.

All it does it add yet another retarded Vault to the game.

The end of the world is not the moment to conduct a massive battery of experiments on people, you need those fucking vaults to save as many lives as you can get. Yes some were used in that manner, but not all of them.

Fucking flanderization!

That's not quite true. FO3 has terminals that talk about government repression of anti-war activists and stuff like that, while the main US army general Constantine Chase is portrayed as a bit of a General Ripper-style megalomaniac.

You do have to go digging to find that stuff, though.

It's an angle you can't call them on. The only difference between their games and FO1 was that it was more blatant and stupidly presented.

I don't mention FO2 because one of it's great faults was dialling up that angle with Frank Horrigan and Richardson instead of leaving it largely unsaid and more an atmospheric thing.

Fighting Kellogg now, genuine laugh-out-loud hilarity. The conversation with him is classic Bethesda, the inexplicable moment where he decides we must fight to the death for no reason, and then the fact he has a Stealth Boy and turns invisible for the fight.

OMFG Bethesda!

I go to look this fucker up and check out the companions list and... and... the fucking leader of Little Lamp Light is back!?!??

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Robert_Joseph_MacCready

Are these people conscious of their sadism? It doesn't matter if he's grown up, wtf bring ANYTHING of that place back to a sequel????

pippin Reinar Actually, the FO3 protagonist isn't a tr00 Vault Dweller.

(Much more would have been made of that plot twist under a more competent writing team)

I forgot about that... You're right, that was a missed opportunity, pretty much like everything else in the game.
You're still introduced as a dweller and the plot twist has zero relevance for you, the plot or the game in general, so FO3's protagonist is still a dweller :P

Played for like 10 hours on open world roaming autopilot, didn't find a single interesting location. Can't take any more of this since it's not like the main quest is worth playing either.

It's currently the worst rated Fallout on Steam. Behind FO3 and Tactics. +M
Here's the userscore ranking:

Fallout: New Vegas: 96%
Fallout 2: 94%*
Fallout 1: 94%*
Fallout Tactics: 86%
Fallout 3: GOTY Edition: 84% (83% normal one)
Fallout 4: 80%

[*FO2 has 94.06%, FO1 has 94.02%]

I don't give a shit about how many players Dota2 had. I say Fallout 4 will sell remarkably less than FO3.
That's pretty much impossible. The size of the Bethesda fanbase is on a whole different order of magnitude after Skyrim.

Agreed. They even made the game with complete newcomers in mind. The protagonist's perspective in the Fallout world is basically the same as someone completely new to the setting.

I'm giving up,i just can't play this game anymore.I tried to find an interesting location but there is absolutely nothing out there, fucking buildings full of ghouls, raiders, mutants and not a fucking single settlement with an ounce of personality to it.And if you find one,you get to talk to one person or two wich has two or three dialogue lines at best, fucking incredible.

An example of quests I encountered so far.
Find a locket:lol:
Find a cat
Find a sword:lol:
Kill raiders dem raiders over there:lol:
Kill dem bugs over there:lol:
Kill dem mutants over there:lol:
Harvest some fucking taters
Find baseball cards
Find plants for a doctor:lol:
Tell children stories:lol:
Answer a quizz:lol:
Clean a small lake for a 12yo kid:lol:
And more :lol::lol::lol: all over the place,it's fucking sad.

These are the usual quests guys, these are quests that are given and completed with 2 or 3 dialogue lines. There are no multiple paths to resolve a quest, just straight mmo shit stain questing ,the only difference being the voice acting, but i can't say that's a positive thing.
The problem is that there are no quests or friendly npcs out there to be found,I discovered half of the map by jumping from location to location and all i found were hordes of enemies and when i say hordes ,i say fucking hordes. At times i felt like i was playing Serious fucking Sam with the amount of ghouls, raiders attacking me.

This game is worse than Fallout 3 in terms of writting, questing and exploring by a fucking lot.

Moo?
I can safely say that 'Feral/Glowing/Whatever Ghouls have turned into my most hated enemy since Fallout 3. They're just a monotonous spongy slog that might be okay for a location or two in a single game (oh hey Necropolis), but Bethesda copy/pastes them all over. My first playthrough of 3 ended when I realized I was cringing every time I heard another one in the Metro Tunnels.

And they suck here too, gimmicks or not.

Bros, they're making a gazillion dollars. Deep breath and cope. Don't worry, though, InXile will be doing Fallout: New Orleans.

You guys are the fucking worst. This is supposed to be a special promotion for fans to be able to feel closer to the game by enjoying a product brought to life from the game. This is not supposed to be an opportunity for you to scalp profits off of people's interests and happiness. Fuck anyone who goes into a Target and buys out the entire stock (some places more than 30 bottles went to a single person) with desperate hopes to flip it for 1000+ % profit from people who couldn't click the online order button faster than you. Don't even get me started on the Target employees themselves who have been pulling this so they can sell it higher, too. We all just want to enjoy this novelty from our game without being taken advantage of for it. Get a real job if you need to do this kind of thing for income.

Not after the current humiliation.
