BROS, for all 3 .cia releases recently leeched from 3dsiso (Stella Glow, FE - Fates, EOU2), I got this:

bayfvhj.jpg

Is it Citra-related, or are these some newshit rips, incompatible with Citra? Do non-decrypted .cias make any sense?
I've noticed that archives with these .cias have like 0% compression (they have the same size as .cias inside them), which probably means that some dummy-file scrubbing was applied.

Have you tried downloading .cia and converting to .cci.
If that doesn't work you are gonna need a 3ds because the only current way of decrpyting is using a actual 3ds.

There is also a way with xorpad files, but that is a hassle and you have to find a specific xorpad for each game.

Yup, I'm converting "backup" .cias to .ccis to use them in Citra. Worked fine in the past. But the latest ones seem to be either non-decrypted or badly ripped.
All this increasing DRM is fucking retarded, BTW. Why should I bother with your decline 3D newshit, when I can play >9000 classic NES/SNES/GB/GBA/NDS titles? For fucking free.

Just admit you're butthurt. This is the future people. Walled gardens forever.
Sometimes i even see idiots that want to install emulators in their latest iWalledGarden. Ahaha, the same company that ditched Vulkan compatibility because they are butthurt at compatibility.

BRO SCO, considering average quality of modern games, not much of any value would be lost.

I tested 3DO/Saturn (4DO/Yabause) cores in RetroArch and they kinda work like shit (right now). There's still hope that someone will be kind enough to keep them alive, but Android cores weren't updated since January, if not earlier. Which is a pity, because I'd really love to play Immercenary/Devil Summoner without being glued to my PC all the time.

Also found out about this little PC-88 emulator, XM8: http://retropc.net/pi/
The site is in Japanese, but the emulator itself in in English and is available for various platforms, including Android.
Apart from scaling issues, it works fine on my tablet. Didn't try the Win version though.

Why not? What is the harm? Maybe people like to see classic games in 3D just for fun.

I have a chronic problem getting my 360 controller to work properly with PSX games using Mednafen within Retroarch. Some games seem to respond to Input, others not. What's worse is that as soon as I run Medafen with RetroArch it screws up my controller's settings for the Sega Genesis core. Anyone else have this issue?

Is it wireless? I've heard the wireless ones are problematic. My wired one works fine.

Yes. I use one of those oversized USB dong(le)s that allow you to play wireless Xbox 360 controllers on Windows boxes. So you think this might be the issue? For the time being, I'm using ePSXe 2.0 with my frontend (Hyperspin with RocketLauncher) which seems more than adequate. I do have a wired controller to test with so maybe I'll do that. Another question: I downloaded the Natural Vision shader for Pete's OpenGL 2.9 plugin. Are there any other settings I need to have in the Configuration panel other than just enabling the Natural Vision shader? Are there better alternatives? What are the favorite PSX shaders people use here?

They should've specified what hardware is required to run diz in optimal speed.

You need a minimum of a 4+ ghz i7 or 4.5 ghz amd, with emulators you are looking for single core performance instead of multi core so this chart helps:
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html
Anything below 2.2 ain't gonna cut it in these stages of emulation development.
But this is still the development stage,in a couple of years any mid range cpu is gonna be able to run the games.

So... my PS3 decided to die. Fuck it. I had not even played Nier and Red Dead Redemption yet. Since I clearly am not considering buying a new one, here are a few questions :
Has GTA 5 been cracked on PC or am I doomed to buy it again ?
Think PS3 emulation will get achieved in our lifetime on current hardware ? (I7 4790k)

From what I'm seeing GTAV is cracked. The only possible issue is that Rockstar Social Club needs to be installed alongside the game, though it won't be used at all due to the crack.

We can't even run Xbox or the Saturn 100% yet. I doubt we'll see the 7th gen emulated (until it's actually playable for the layman) until, like, 2020 or even 30.

Gta v has been cracked, but not the newest updates and you can't use the internet stock market.
For emulation,it really depends on the games, some games will probably never be emulated, but a i7 4790k will have no problem emulating most of the games on the playstation 3 emulator in a couple of years(max 4-5 years before the emulator enters playable state for most people)

As if either of those consoles has anything in common with the PS3.

Comparing Saturn emulation (2 emulators, both are in playable state) to Xbox emulation (yet to see something that works) is just plain retarded.

They don't, but they're both significantly weaker hardware (compared to the PS3). It was merely a point of comparison, since we haven't successfully emulated everything before the 7th generation - I doubt we'd make significant strides in emulating the last gen. Of course I can't predict what certain hobbyists might focus on, and it's a possibility we might have a working PS3 emulator before an Xbox one.

My bad, it was simply off the top of my head. Just Xbox then.
