Wow... Lots of butthurt in this thread. Don't mind me, I'll just be sitting here on the front row, eating popcorn.

Considering how the funding dropped like a rock I would say lots of butthurt everywhere. They haven't handled the updates and stretch goals that well.

I only pulled my pledge, because there was a more worthy successor (Torment2), but I still would like them to succedd. They are good guys, and they will probably make a great game. They are just not very good at this Kickstarter stuff. I also don't see how changing clothes and hairstyles is a bad thing. Apart from you have to dedicate some additional resources to it, but I doubt that would hurt the game. And if someone is stupid enough to pay more for a hairstyle or clothe, s/he deserves to be ripped off.

And fuck you if you are ripping of Ragnar, he is a great guy and a very good writer.

This is pretty cool actually, looks like they listened to the complaints that Zoe didn't really look like herself, so they're changing the face a bit and the end result is pretty good.

I love this developer team. It's the opposite of every sleasy megacorop that churns out shallow consumer-oriented titles for money.

The end result if pretty good. It's still not Zoe as I remember her from Dreamfall, but she looks much closer and much better. I do hope they will continue to tweak the game model, Zoe's character was based on a sense of melancholy and detachment from the world she grew up in, and her original appearance reflected her dreamy personality well. I doubt she will look in any way out of place or uncanny by the time the game is released.

OMG, it just hit me. Within a few year's time, I'm going to play a sequel to Dreamfall, and after that a sequel to The Longest Journey. OMG OMG OMG!!! I'll have to postpone my dramatic suicide plans.

Aside from that, this might not be all that bad. No combat is already a plus, heh. Hopefully there's less nose-leading than Dreamfall (or so it seemed to me)

Finally. The original model was ugly, and one thing that bothered me a lot was her duck mouth, as if she was about to give an invisible blowjob.

The End. Let's hope they'll think about people attitude towards the project and why they didn't pledge more.
They got the most of any adventure game (or whatever this is) project so far, so I doubt it.

Edit: Oh yeah, DFA. Still, I doubt they view this as a failure.

Double Fine Adventures and Homestuck got more but yeah I doubt anyone apart from codexers will see them getting 1,5 million USD as a failure.

So at Rezzed there was a a gameplay sequence and talk by Red Thread Games

After seeing the social media stuff and such my expectations for the game have fallen through the floor. I had thought there might be some good to find here but.... GAH.

Why do you feel the need to add online social elements to your single player adventure game?

And this time we will have some nice C&C straight from Bioware.

They have putted much emphasis on graphical side of the presentation, and for an adventure game it looks really good. But the gameplay looks like more of a Dreamfall-lite than TLJ. Not surprising really.

Extremely visually impressive and I don't care about social shit as long as you can turn it off. My main concern is it looks a little simplistic, as shown above. Not sure I expected anything else though, honestly.

Coming to consoles, they even praise Xbone. Also tablets someday I guess. Also this fun quote:

"And we're also looking at other investment sources, because $1.5m, that was great, it gives us a lot of freedom and a lot of leverage and lot of time, but it's not enough to get the game finished. But we know that we can get that money."

Nothing like promising a game for X amount of money and then saying shortly after you can't finish it with that money.

Works for Double Fine.

And all these drawbacks of the game have been visible since day one, yet people are still surprised. Don't forget to buy this for XBone, or there might be no new installments, what a shame.

Send money to Red Thread (!) Go on a suicide mission instead

Next gen social features, biowaresque "choices," shitty action sequences, you name it.
