Bioware games are definitely over-written. Ten lines of boring dialogue to deliver what could be said in one. I am constantly wishing I had a "didn't ask" button. In ME2 the non-combat sections drag on for so long because of this, that by the time I get back to the combat missions I forget the controls.
"Well you can skip the dialogue if it bores you so much!!"
Two reasons why I can't:
1. The same button that skips dialogue will also select the default response that I probably don't want to select after the last line of dialogue is skipped.
2. There is valuable information in these dialogues, it's just spread too thin amidst endless yapping.
Brevity is the soul of wit, and as we all know, Bioware was competent but witless. Until it stopped being competent.
