Alistair is really fucking dumb for NOT taking the throne and marrying Anora
But that's exactly what he did in my playthrough. He and Anora even showed up in Inquisition, briefly.

Did you fail a persuasion check, lol?

Yeah, man, Origins is a masterpiece whrn compared to Veilguard.

Also
Alistair is really fucking dumb for NOT taking the throne and marrying Anora. He just wants revenge on Loghain out of anger for his actions (though to be fair, that anger is justified), instead of being pragmatic and enlisting Loghain's help against the Darkspawn and marrying his daughter, thus making her a QUEEN.
Holy crap, Alistair, you DUMB!
Marrying Anora and relying on Loghain didn't work out so well for Cailan. Loghain caused the Duncan's death who was a father figure for Alistair.

You two tried to and, respectively, succeeded in getting Alistair to marry Anora and become king in your place? Are your IRL girlfriends hot? 'Cause I got a proposition to run by you. :lol:

Only male/female Cousland can marry Anora/Alistair and become a prince consort or queen.

Fereldans also react with suspicion and mistrust when you play as the Orlseian Warden in Awakening. The modern devs completely forget or don't want to touch nationalism and focus on racism. Lately even racism became too edgy for modern devs, no fictional racism in Veilguard, Starfield and the Outer Worlds.
Right.
There are some unique interactions if playing as the Orlesian Warden.
Made sense considering the troubled history between Orlais and Ferelden.

I played a female Cousland, and aside from the DLC in Origins, the Grey Warden storyline as king and queen of Ferelden later on was... abandoned and dead. Which sucks.

So far...

Objectively:
Origins>Veilguard>2>Inquisition

Gameplay:
Origins>Veilguard>2>Inquisition

Story:
Origins>2>Veilguard>Inquisition

I'd consider Origins to be the only actual "RPG" from a C&C perspective in the context of this franchise, so won't bother including reactivity since it's middling even when at it's best.

Likelihood that fans will commit suicide:
Origins = tiny
DA2 = small
Inquisition = considerable
Veilguard = 41%
dammit, gotta pump these numbers up!

There were many possible endings and different scenarios available. They had to settle for just one to be canon.
Awakening should've been the last game...

If memory serves me right, they tried to establish that the canonical ending of DAO was a Dalish elf who died killing the Archdemon.

this is what storyfaggotry does to you.
Maybe it's changed since launch but it seemed like most of the storyfags on reddit were on suicide watch over how bad the story is, and since the combat is apparently also bad-to-mediocre depending on who you ask I'm not sure what kind of -fag it was intended for (do hair physics fags exist?)

Shampoofag. The hair on these characters bounces like they're from shampoo commercials. That's the only thing that bounces on them.

A single orlesian Denerim was a big deal (that Orlesian did not wear a retarded mask from Inquisition, by the way).
Fereldans also react with suspicion and mistrust when you play as the Orlseian Warden in Awakening. The modern devs completely forget or don't want to touch nationalism and focus on racism. Zevran was a bisexual dolt, but he at least had a fairly interesting backstory AND you could just fucking kill him if you so desired.
Leliana was also a-ok, but hardened Leliana was really cringe and edgy. I prefer her as a scarred woman trying to redeem her past crimes through faith and contemplation.
So don't harden Leliana.
Non-hardened Leliana is canon for me.

It went from leftists wanting modern-day issues crammed everywhere to the current extra-sensitive crowd demanding that these issues be scrubbed out of sight. Or maybe that "force behaviours" principle is the cause of sanitised media. Now the tactic has shifted to normalising their utopia instead of investing resources on fruitless debate. Get 'em while they're young and impressionable, and so on.

Let's remember who put this pile of shit front and center at the Codex.
The people who continuously bump this thread? :smug:

Don't care. My DAO canon is noble dorf who sided with his bro, had his child acknowledged within the dynasty and died heroically. Statue built in Orzammar in his honor, Ferelden pledged to help dorfs in the Deep Roads.

I can't remember off the top of my head, but there is a Chad Arl with a certain funny quote about elves.
Maybe Camel might help?

Maybe Bann Teagan who's one of the best characters in the game but I don't remember him joking about the elves.

The favourite ending of David Gaider.
