Well, it only was a half-assed "no repercussions" admission. The reasons they stated for "not deserving a high score" were all around during their extended playing. They know readers have the attention span of a ferret and will have forgotten that DA2 had a higher score once before dinner.To be fair, I think it's awesome that some game journalists accept that they made mistakes. There's a lot of gaming outlets that would never admit that.
So the result is a win-win for them: DAI has a higher score than it's predecessor (making EA happy) and Winston changing the DA2 score has no negative effects since the game isn't promoted anymore.
And INGSOC has always been at war with Eurasia.
Didn't even Gaymespot admit they gave Lolblivion a far too high score and then just laughed it off, knowing their audience has already moved to the next overhyped game and doesn't even remember oblivion?
