About the last day...It starts 2 o'clock. It seems strange going in the Island that hour, also I missed the phone to the library for the body found in the new area and never done Joyce quest.

About the badge I waited the tide to change, can I do the same without sitting but just going in the crashed car at the right time?

Imagine the possibilities for microtransactions. Can't make rent? Why not by some réal at the ZA/UM store, one for one!

Yes, it doesn't present any political spectrum seriously nor does justice to the philosophical underpinnings of them. But that is consistent with Martinaise, a place that has been fucked over by each system in succession one after the other. All those systems tried to organize human lives among different lines, and each of them left behind broken and discarded outcasts and victims.

Now that I've given it some thought, I think it's also consistent with Harry as a character.

All the political options you get are over the top extremist versions of the ideology, kinda like those political compass memes. You can either be FREE MARKET BABY, COMMUNIST REVOLUTION, I FUCKING HATE NIGGERS, or I'M CENTRIST CAUSE I DON'T CARE.
It's just as over the top and ridiculous as Harry's copotypes: Hobocop, Art Cop, Apocalypse Cop, Superstar Cop etc.

All of the personality types and ideologies Harry can adopt during the game are pretty extreme, and there's a reason for that I think. Look at his actions before the game: he held his gun to his head and made crass suicide jokes, drove his car into the ice and talked to a bunch of hobos, calling himself Tequila Sunset. Everything he does is over the top.

Because it's a good way to mask the pain of his loneliness. He's the loud, edgy motherfucker because that makes it easier to deal with the memories of loss and the longing for something he'll never get back. Gotta drown that shit out by being outrageous.

This reminds me of some people somewhere... what the fuck could it be?

Also, how do you find out where Ruby is without having Shivers? I only found the access to the building by passing a Shivers check.

Wait, so does the Tribunal actually come around at a certain point regardless of if you found Ruby or not, or does time just stop at a certain point and you are forced to find Ruby to proceed? If the latter, can't you get cucked after 20+ hours of playtime if you failed every modified shivers check due to shit RNG and have no skill points to spend? And doesn't it make getting the gun from Evrart pointless since you always get one from Ruby anyway, or is there a use-case scenario for it in the Ruby confrontation (perhaps an option to shoot at the radio transmitter?) I know whether or not you found your gun is a factor in the ending, but still.

Hope I am wrong about all of this :S

Someone said you can edit savegames to time travel. What happens if you finish a task before you get it? I often finish task without getting them but It isn't the same thing.

1. Ending "slides"? You can die early, too.

2. You have to realize that you are an actual cop. And just get the brush. She doesn't give it if you just ask nicely.

3. Yup.

4. It is. Just more foreshadowing, nothing big. Volition was "you are probably going to regret this" and shivers came right after that, or which one are you referring to?

Apocalypse Cop ones are obviously the ones about THE END IS FUCKING NIGH. Those are pretty straightforward. The honour choices are pretty obscure.

Does day 5 exist? Ie. I slept for two days because the tribunal was on day 4, if you found Ruby on d3 would you have slept for 3 days?

Yes, I think there is a day 5. I think. I got shot on day 3, I don't remember waking up on day 6 the first time around.

it’s functionally the same story structure as PS:T, but better paced because there aren’t any trash mobs.

There's a shit tonne of running back and forth between the village and Revachol proper if you want to complete the side quests. There are also far fewer locations than in PST, so that reading up Shivers about Jamrock or coal city becomes unnecessary, unlike PST which will eventually take you to completely different locations.

Wait, so does the Tribunal actually come around at a certain point regardless of if you found Ruby or not, or does time just stop at a certain point and you are forced to find Ruby to proceed? You don't always get a gun from Ruby

Someone gives you a tipp that she is somewhere on the coast. I ran around and clicked one everything that is clickable.
Finding the fish market and Ruby was very annoying.

I think you get massive bonuses on the check for every side quest and person you talk to in the area. So eventually you can just pass it even with a garbage shivers attribute.

This is the one part that doesn't make sense. He broke up with his "girlfriend"(?) six years ago. Yet his breakdown started four months ago. Why is he still so obsessed with the ex-wife that wasn't even a wife?

Joyce says that Harry is insane. But she says she is insane herself, due to the excessive Pale-surfing. But she also says that no-one is as insane as Harry.

So if Harry's "condition" was caused by Pale, where did he get the exposure?

At least that'd explain why the relatively distant trauma has resurfaced so strongly.

If he had gotten massive Pale exposure, then his colleagues would know about it for sure.

Unless it's something like, a spot of Pale suddenly appeared near his apartment and drove him insane? Kinda like how there's a spot of Pale in the church.

But the one in the church had been there for a long time already, causing the data loss for the game devs, the ruin of the cursed commercial area, and it's even said that the church was built around it.

I think its implied by the reptilian brain and limbic system that he has been getting progressively worse the whole time. So its not like he was completely cool with it up to 4 months prior to the game start, its that he more or less had his shit together - but its been eating away at him and has progressively derailed/destroyed his life and career. He never hit rock bottom, he was plummeting towards it all along. What is it that the limbic system says when Harry wakes up from getting shot? "He never stops, he just keeps getting worse."

This sort of parallels the Deserter's story. The war never ended for him, but he wasn't always shooting random men in the mouth because he was lusting over the junkies they were fucking. Then again the Deserter was also influenced by the phasmid, so perhaps Harry is influenced by the Pale in much the same way.

That kind of makes the whole ending absurdist in a way. Has anything changed for Harry? He might have stopped drinking and doing drugs, but his heart will keep on bleeding. Every night he tears the wounds open again. How long 'till he relapses again?

Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
Harry also knows the poem(?) they recite to keep their wits while crossing Pale.

I also remember reading in-game explanation of why he knows the poem - they teach it at schools and Harry was a school teacher (coach) in his younger years.

I think its no coincidence that you face 3 of your (former?) colleagues at the end of the game either. I distinctly remember thinking - oh shit, here is Harry's tribunal. I can't remember whether or not the same track played during both the actual tribunal and the final pseudo-tribunal but it would be cool if it did.

Is Harry always a school teacher btw, did anyone get any other background there?
