Damn, if it weren't for insanely expensive shipping to Brazil, I would grab some of those... will stalk for more, maybe something will still be worth it.

I haven't even gotten started.

Don't ask who I am going to work for in CA, you will find out soon enough with one of my stalkers. ;-)
I hope you get involved in games development again, duh, but whatever you get yourself into, I hope for the best for you and your family.

And whatever you do, don't stop posting on the Codex. In fact, you should convince more devs to start posting here. It'd be good for them.

SimCity 2000 is the best SC, by the way.

If you don't really want to part with something, and have sufficient money, you could hire a storage locker for a while so you/someone you trust can go and collect your stuff later on. I've done the same thing with some of my belongings (they're still in there, actually, a lot longer than I was intending, but it's not too expensive).

It'd depend on what you need to store and for how long, as well as how much it costs.

Here is a link to my Fallout Stuff. Some of it is junk, some of it is pretty nice. I would happily answer any questions about it:

The album is not organized in any fashion at all. None of the pics are labelled either.

Nice Fallout collection (except Fallout 3 ;) ).
If you are asking yourself if you should keep it or not i think you should sell most of it (and i'm not interested).
But i wonder how much these things will sell (and not only the Fallout items but the rest of your collection of old games too).

+ points for the Gecko in a Can. Only seen one of those on ebay ever (together with more Fallout stuff) and it went for quite a bit of money.
- all the points for Fallout 3 junk

And I got a Pool Of Radiance in much better condition (with cluebook as well) and cheaper from ebay. What are you trying to pull there, scammer?

Wow, giving me the Geckon in a Can, the F1 pen and the F1 big box as a birthday gift is really nice of you! Thanks Davis.

You can't sell Gecko in a Can man. Do you know how rare that thing is? I think it's valued easily in the hundreds of dollars, I wouldn't be shocked to see it go upwards of 500, you never ever see it on sale. Sealed Fallout boxes in mint can easily go for 150+ as well. I don't even know what the Vault Boy art would go for.

http://failingfalloutnewvegas.wordpress.com/gecko-in-a-can/ is what's in there for the curious.

Around 500 is what that auction I mentioned went for. Did have a couple of more Fallout related stuff, though, but the Gecko was the big item there, as far as I remember.

Shit, now I'm tempted to start scouring ebay again.

Well... I'm trying to figure out what the collection would be worth and then... sell it. If you guys want to help me research it and put together a LOT price for all of it, I would appreciate it.

I think I have some more stuff too, I just haven't found it all yet.

I gotta go take my pregnant wife to get some food! Thanks guys, back in a bit!

What was the name of THE super fallout guy again? The one who runs the wiki? He might have some advice and input on what some of this might be worth too.

Erm.. when I said 500, I actually meant 50. So.. your whole collection? No more than 100. I'll give it to you now. I'll even take the Fallout 3 of your hands.

I'm also surprised no one cares about the actual Fallout 1 flask that was actual Fallout 1 swag.

Honestly, it doesn't look that great. Looks like a regular flask with a sticker slapped on it. No more than $10 (including shipping).

Don't ask who I am going to work for in CA, you will find out soon enough with one of my stalkers. ;-)

Two questions

1. Will you re-enter the industry?

2. Are you banding together with ex-coworkers?

Commencing stalking

1. Yes.

2. In a way.

First priorities though are the wife and baby.
Second, I need to sell and donate a LOT of stuff to get my moving costs down and to raise funds.

Been fun so far.

See, this is why I'm not a giant fan of the game making industry. In other industries the company you're joining would pay for the relocation costs.

I'm sorry for confusing that, my reloc costs are being reimbursed.

My last move, as well as previous moves all left valuables damaged. Art, games, whatever, a lot of it was damaged, lost or destroyed.

I'm thinking that if I can sell some stuff now, it not only lightens the load, which will make the move easier (as I will be moving a wife and baby too) it puts some extra cash in the bank in case we decide to buy a condo or something if the opportunity arises.

Oh ok, nm then. Good to hear that the company you're joining isn't being cheap. I'm sure you'll be able to sell that kind of stuff, just a matter of exposure in the right places.
