"Pretty sure'" is not an answer when it comes to law.

Enforceable to employees, or people in business relations ? Probably.
Limiting the freedom of the press to customers and random people on the internet who are not in a business relationship? I highly doubt it.
As I said originally, even if you can't sue, the press who leaks their info would get blacklisted and not given any more early information.
But seriously, are you telling me BMW, Audi, and Mercedes don't use NDAs on new cars they're going to launch?
Also, the US has much stronger protection of speech and the press than the UK, I don't know about the rest of Europe, but I believe this is the case as well (like Nazi paraphernalia being illegal in Germany).

Once again, you are speaking of people in buisness relationships. I'm pretty sure a guy working for Audi can't disclose info on new cars. I'm pretty sure the press has no LEGAL obligation to respect that, but do, in many cases, because oh my god where will we get our exclusive news if we get them angry. And that's about it. We're speaking about video games being disclosed to thousands of beta testers. You cannot be fired. You cannot be blacklisted. What the fuck can they do to you ? Get you to court and fine you ? On what fucking basis ? Because it was written on the online contract? Oh, good, so that just means they are not tied with you anymore. Can they limit the freedom of speech because of that and take your ass to court ?

I doubt it, once again.

Again, this whole argument is moot as they're not actually trying to apply any restrictions on backers who are not parts of formal review outlets.

You're not really helping your case because DoTT looked like a Saturday Morning Cartoon. It was probably the most childish looking adventure game Lucas Arts made.
It looked like stuff for teenagers, just like Full Throttle. Broken Age looks like educative cartoons for 5-years-old kids.

Also, the themes:

Dead salesman trying to solve a murder and reach heaven,
Biker Gang's leader gets ambushed, goes out for revenge,
A metal-head, a nerd and crazy girl trying to save the world from a purple tentacle,
Strong, independent girl fighting against status quo / lonely sheltered boy looking for freedom.

Which of these don't belong together?

I'm talking about someone ostensibly in the press (a blogger), not one of 80k random backers.

I would say that none of them really belong together, which is a good thing imo.

Come on people, you can't be this stupid. They won't sue average joe if he talks about game on facebook or on a forum. They only ASKED professional sites to held reviews until embargo. What is so difficult to understand in this? Sigh, it's like you never heared of NDAs in the gaming industry.

Sigh, now you are just coming up with nonsencial excuses for not liking the game. According to what you have written, Broken Age's theme is just as good as the others.

I wouldn't describe Full Throttle like that. He's trying to save his gang not get revenge, and then he's trying to help Mo more than he's trying to get revenge.

I wouldn't describe Broken Age as you are either, but I'm withholding describing the story until I've played it. I'm not sure what "strong, independent girl" has to do with anything since you didn't describe anyone else's personality. It looks like you just wrote that to try to score some KKKs.

Also, I completely disagree that DoTT looks like Full Throttle. It looks like a cartoon, there's no way around it:

Looking forward to hearing about it! Im not a fan of the art style, but seeing it in motion it really is quite beautiful. The animators have done a sterling job.

Im going to wait for the full game to play it, but that's mainly for time constraints.

Can't even redeem my key. Fuck, I didn't realise how terrible Humble Bundle was. Glad I never had to use it.

You have a shitty computer it seems. :smug:

I signed up for an old school P&C adventure game, not fucking Crysis 3.

If my computer can run Telltale and Daedalic games then it should be able to run this!

There's also ZERO graphics options. It's a goddamn tablet game not a PC game.

I've certainly... seen some stuff on their forums. http://abload.de/img/doublefineforrfaav.png
It's a bit of a Mini-Tumblr atmosphere on there especially since the KickStarter, which is usually why I don't stay very long but I'm sure it influences their games.

Anyway will install and see how it is and report back at some point in time further from now.
