Well, if it meant receiving two boxes...I don't think they're gonna send out a physical box containing half the game. That'd be stupid. No one wants that.

For one price? They are managing their money badly, but not THAT badly.Well, if it meant receiving two boxes...I don't think they're gonna send out a physical box containing half the game. That'd be stupid. No one wants that.

There's obviously hope for Tim yet then.I can't believe I backed this for the fucking special edition box.
I've really liked the t-shirt though. Quality fabric, feels nice, looks kinda nice.
Impatience, a desire to see what they did with your money (if you're a backer).I don't understand. Is there any reason to play this game now and not wait until it's complete?
By someone that doesn't understand kids, that thinks they can't abstract anything and blew all the budget on animation.Does indeed look like a game made for Tim's daughter
Same here. eBay, ho!I can't believe I backed this for the fucking special edition box.
They assume you've played the first part to completion in the documentary from now on, so unless you want to wait until the full game is out and binge-watch the rest of it after playing the game, you're gonna get it spoiled anyway.I don't understand. Because we saw the same movie happening 20 years ago.... Sierra had just released King Quest VI (IMHO one of the best adventure games ever), but then someone decided to do a Disney-like sequel, appealing to kids...Dont understand why some posters here are so insecure about their masculinity.
I doubt it will be shit, but I also doubt that it will get anywhere close to Full Throttle, DotT or Grim Fandango. The theme and personality of those game were a HUGE part of why they were so good.Dont understand why some posters here are so insecure about their masculinity.
Because after the great collapse of 2001, civilization went into decline and lost all resources and technology to make great games? Then that is your mistake. If you're going to compare each new adventure game to your childhood memories you make it really hard for yourself to enjoy a new adventure game.

What kind of scenario you live in, that it is simply impossible to make a game as good as they did 20 years ago? Especially when said game was sold and marketed as a return to old-school games, by the very same guy that made those classics...
Those games are really good, not because of nostalgia. But neither because of the atmosphere alone. An adventure game can be good if it is a more lighthearted than the ones you mentioned.Bullshit. Those games are simply that good, there's no nostalgia involved. Last year I replayed DoTT, Grim Fandango and Monkey Island 1 & 2, and they all are absolutely brilliant.
DoTT was even better than I remenbered.
Backers working at review sites and running blogs are under embargo, sharing your impressions on unofficial sites (like the Codex) is allowed according to the latest update. They just ask to be sensitive about spoilers.I've read that there is an embargo on backers posting their impressions of the early copies they get until the date the official review embargo for magazines and sites is up. Not sure how ethical that is.
So early access is scraped, because Act 1 is polished enough for be a "normal" game. Good. You may recall that at one point Broken Age was planned for release under the Steam Early Access program. This is no longer the case. For various logistical reasons, and because we believe Act 1 is a polished and satisfying piece of content in its own right, Broken Age will be a standard Steam release that includes a “Season Pass” granting access to Act 2 once it is complete.
