It was amazing. Gamers pledged almost 20K in 10 minutes. Madness!

Congrats to them. There aren't many developers out there more deserving of our support than Double Fine. Looking forward to what they come up with.

It's gonna fluctuate a bit once some ppls credit cards bounce. Probably somehting between .1 and 1% of the total. Same thing happened for OotS.

But the important thing is they got over 8x as much money as they said they needed. I fully expec tthem to deliver 8 games to me :obviously:

The framerate is better now. Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert are both there. Fun stuff.

Lol, someone just asked Tim if you can buy Full Throotle and Grim Fandango somewhere. Tim's answer: No, you should pirate them and buy stuff from our store! :D
Talk like that would give him a warning on the Codex.

Quite enjoyed the first episode. Looking forward to when they start showing actual game development.

Yeah, it was non-existent in the first video except for the "colored dots" analogy. I understand the reasons behind focusing on the Kickstarter part but I want to see the process of making this game.

Well, they didn't actually start on any development until the Kickstarter ended so there probably wasn't all that much to show until recently. The next episode will probably be about pre-production.

The Kickstarter story is so crazy they had to start there, I'm glad they had some good footage covering it.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that I wanted them to jump straight into game development. I agree, the Kickstarter story had to be told.

So his basic idea is about a coming of age story with a boy and a girl going through parallel storylines.Sounds good, the parallel stories remind me of Gemini Rue a bit,or Schafer's own Day of the Tentacle

At first I didn't care much about the idea of the documentaries, but I now I love watching that stuff.

As for the basic idea, I like it. It also offers some interesting gameplay possibilities.

I also have enjoyed the first two video productions as well as Schafer discussing his time at LucasArts in the extra video. The story itself sounds interesting but I hope it doesn't get to "heavy" on the emotional/ coming of age piece and maintains the humor of his previous point-n-click games of yore.

Well, in many ways, Psychonauts had a coming of age story, and that maintained a whimsical atmosphere and sense of humour throughout.

Really enjoying the documentary series. The whole bit about the naming of Grim Fandango was a really funny and neat little piece of trivia.

Inb4 4th documentary with Schafer announcing they burned half the budget in blow and hookers because, hey, you can still make a pretty decent adventure with 1 mil and a half.

No but they do have to blow $600,000 on kickstarter rewards and postage.
