"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

Better, than the test site, blander than the past.

I can't seem to find the button for viewing topics started rather than a list of posts in a user's profile. It was a great way of viewing activity and bump good old threads.

One new advantage is that the header is much smaller now. That is a good decision. Please don't bloat it, it's tidier the way it is. Move "home" a bit to the right though because it overlaps with the troll.

You should know that this is a fucktarded line of argument.
No it's not; it's merely a hint that the "management" owes you nothing. It's a hobby website, not a paid service, so maybe people should be a little bit grateful, but at the very least tone down the assholery a little. It's the easiest thing to shout in comments from the sidelines, and I can understand the frustration of the people who work on this for *free*, so all the dissenters can be idiots here all day, free of charge.

But even if it was a paid service, you'd get simply kicked out for being an annoying retard for too long.

Something to think about, maybe.

Please tell me the flairs are coming back, so I can tell who the shitposters are at a glance.

I also don't like I have to use 2 clicks to rate a post; I'm lazy.

It should now wrap to the display width. Unless you specifically want it visible as a separate line.

The poor little troll is so small now :negative:

Why don't you work with Bester to implement his changes and make everyhting look normal again?

Negative ratings as a forum feature helped me a lot. Othewise there's no reliable feedback on what I said was particularly dumb. Without ratings people just scroll past dumb posts.
This is a dumb opinion. People can just tell you that you're dumb, in words. You know, like I just did for your stupid-ass opinion. xoxo

Anyone who cant even spend 30 seconds to call you dumb, is someone whose opinion is worthless anyway, so he should have no right to express it in the first place.

Isn't this what the codex used to be for, what basically no moderation used to be for? So people could actually rant and vent and insult each other for their opinions, and instead we went full modern facebook/reddit shit with upvotes and downvotes and 500 other retarded reactions. The only measure of a great man should be the amount of brofists he harvested.

Right now, the number of Codex users on mobile is nearly 40% already and the number is growing every year. You're making presumptions based on your own usage, which are completely incorrect. The text is too small to read comfortably even on desktops, let alone mobile.
The text is too small to read comfortably even on desktops, let alone mobile. It's too small for me to read without zooming in significantly, as well as for a good chunk of other users.
Can you specify your environment? Resolution, HiDPI scaling, browser font settings. It's fine for almost everyone, including myself with a 4K display and a 1080p mobile phone display.
Pinned threads at the top of a forum are barely recognizable from any other thread below
Done.
Threads that have new Posts in them are barely recognizable from ones that don't, the text is just very slightly bolder
What was the color again? The selector should be something like article:has(.message-newIndicator).
Is this list available anywhere? If not, it could be useful to have a sticky which lists upcoming changes listed by priority. You wouldn’t have to repeatedly address the same concerns and members wouldn’t complain about things identified as about to be changed/fixed. Just a suggestion.
Same question. Too much general complaining and argumentative responses in this thread but too few detailed, useful complaints.

But think what papa google would say if we didn't behave like good goys! Let alone we are still not inclusive of mobile users! They would mark our site as a non-safe space!

In the end, when you ignore warnings from Google, they take it that you are not maintaining your site any more and penalize you accordingly by listing your website in search results below the competition.
Which is why any self-respecting human being does not use Google as his search engine of choice. I've been using DuckDuckGo for years now, for example. You are caving in to a pozzcorp, and citing this moral failure as an argument.

I can't really tell if a thread has new posts or not. I think I'm supposed to look if it's bolded or not, but it's hard to tell at a glance.
Several users complain about unread post display in the thread list. Send me a screenshot.

Is there a way to see (and maybe undo) my own ratings onto other people's posts? Something akin to "Ratings given." Other than remembering the exact thread and post, and removing the rating manually, I mean.

Where's muh emoji support? Xenforo 2.0 should have built-in support.

It only works properly when the database is properly prepared for it. Knowing DU, he didn't follow procedure and properly prepare it.

How do you feel about changing the brofist icon to "Brofist" text on the bottom right?

Change it to React or Rate instead, since these are officially called reactions or ratings. Makes more sense than the brofist icon (or mixing icons and text), when you don't want to brofist or even give a positive rating.

I mean sure, if the forum is supposed to be smth people browse while on the can or in bed or at work. Using reactions while youre scrolling past dozens of posts is definitely easier on mobile, than having to actually engage in discussion and argue and write text. Because doing so on phone would obviously suck. But does that shit actually matter? Is the codex that strapped for cash that we need the ad money and improve SEOs and mobile readability to keep the place running? If not, then why the fuck would we open the gates to social and intellectual lepers who browse an RPG discussion forum to... react to messages, instead of having actual discussions?

I could make something if you want. I’d just need to know which dimension you’d like.

Can it stay like it is right now? I think "Rate"/"React" are too generic.

Same question. Too much general complaining and argumentative responses in this thread but too few detailed, useful complaints.

Just change it back 1px to the XF default that I reverted to, I've got 20% scaling on my desktop at 1920 x 1200 and it's still too small. The XF devs set the default conservatively 6 or 7 years ago already and the resolutions have only gone up since then.

Which is why any self-respecting human being does not use Google as his search engine of choice. I've been using DuckDuckGo for years now, for example. You are caving in to a pozzcorp, and citing this moral failure as an argument.

I use DDG occasionally myself. But it doesn't change the fact that more than 90% of the search engine traffic comes from Google, and that's largely how people find the Codex. So no webmaster is doing themselves any favours by ignoring it.

Is it too late now?

No, it can be done at any point. But then again, with the flood of already existing ratings, who needs emojis as well.

It has to be generic. Rate and React accurately describe what the button does, Brofist doesn't.

^^this.

Not sure if emojis are allowed in thread titles by default. Or if they would be if people started using them there.

Oldex allowed unicode icons or whatever they were in titles, and they were occasionally used. Xenforo 2.0 should have native support for emojis in titles as well, so the only effect would be a broader selection of images.
