Yep the troll at the top is fixed for me now on the fixed width theme.

With the fixed width version and a bunch of the changes since yesterday around removal of the bold lines around everything, looking more like a continuous thread etc. the thread view already looks much better, the top two changes would be returning the ratings to how they were or just going back to the Brofist system and removing the Stalker bar at the Top now.

Now do something about the forum view itself: Distinguish Pinned posts from Threads. Why is everything bold? Why is there so much space between every thread? Can we go back to the more subtle rounded off page numbers and thread symbols instead of the Cubism? Maybe see how it looks with lines or slight color differentiation between thread info/Reply+View count and Last Posted:

That should no longer be the case. Normally there's the Codex menu but it hasn't been integrated into XF2 yet. This has to be done by an admin.

Is 90% page width appropriate now? It was 98%.

Are you talking about pinned threads?
Yeah,it's basically fixed now, there is just a tiny overlap but that's something that will be fixed when the whole Codex menu is integrated,I don't think reducing the width any further would be a good idea

Hello
It's only a minor matter, very minor, in fact it may only be of interest to me, but can something be done about the text colour chooser?
I like using different colour texts in my deranged posts.
The blues you can choose don't stand out against the nu-blue background.
Is it possible to change the blue text choices to the old bright blue... entering the hex code each time is a pain, even if the hex code is saved in the colour box chooser it still needs to be cleared to re-enter it,
On mobile devices it's 1 tap menu 2 open palette 3 clear palette 4 enter saved hexcode and that still doesn't change the text colour as such, the insert point moves upwards randomly, so I then need to copy my text and then add colour..it's most bizarrre.

This is the present blues

I do realise I might be the only one who cares about this
Fear not, Oracscube, there is still hope. You can use the hexcode feature to get any blue you want. For instance, #00FFF6 is pretty similar to the old blue

Isn't this a step back, though? You're now halfway between the narrow style that came with the update and the proper layout you had at 98%. Wouldn't it make more sense to shrink the troll until it fits vertically in the top menu and have the forum proper take up the full width of the screen? We spend a lot more time reading threads than admiring our mascot, after all.

By the by, the new Quote colour is perfect, thanks for fixing it!

Considering how trivially easy it is to adjust the max-width with a stylus script, I would probably just pick a number and stick to it and then leave it to people to customise it themselves further if required.

90% is quite a happy compromise. Some thought 98% was too wide.

How about disabling the troll on the fixed-width layout?

The changes made in the past 18 hours are quite good, thanks Twiglard, Taluntain, and DarkUnderlord!

But, it seems like in the shuffle that a larger font was implemented for forum listings and post subjects. It's quite strange, as there was only one user who was really vocal about the font being too small, and now it's larger...

I could live with it, as much as I love our stoic Atlas, I care more about readability, dunno about the rest though. Though if a differentiated treatment is possible, if you make him 90px tall on the Fixed Width, I think he'll slot in just right on the top menu.

I guess I'll give it a few days and see what we land on before I start tinkering. The 90% does look too narrow for my tastes.

So when is this shit gonna provide an easy list to see who ranked what on every post?

Kiwifarms have that and they are on XF2, so I assume it's just a matter of grabbing some addon or, worst case, having to code some custom functionality.

New alerts aren't marked with a yellow star.
It's hard to see the line between the old and the new alerts after you the press bell button.

Looks much better. However, the width of the posts have somewhat shrunk on phone screen which is already small enough. Also, the notifications color of dark blue is a bit confusing since it's the color you also get when hovering on any of the notification entries, the red color used to offer some good contrast.

Edit: Width is back to normal.

Twiglard Not sure what you can do for admins but have a look at the Edit History etc... line in image attached. It ends up pushing everything else out of the container and off screen. Not sure if you can CSS wizard it all into a menu that drops down or put it on a second line that only appears for admins.

At least it's somewhat getting better.

I don't know if someone has already pointed it, but the contrast between new and old alert is terrible and barely distinct. Also change the colour police of the linked text which lead to a post or a thread, it should visible at a first glance, not forcing you to read the username of whatever fellow retard triggered the alert.

Twiglard the theme names are also switched, "fixed width" is variable and the one that doesn't mention width at all is fixed.

Twiglard, that did the trick with the small troll on the Fixed Width, thanks again!

Yeah, this is all starting to look properly Codexian once more, props to everyone working on it for the quick turnaround.
