Seems to be made for a net throwing assassin build. How rare are these weapons? Dagger would not have been my first choice, but I could afford to get it (costs 9k. Than I'm broke though). What do you guys think?
Your post got deleted while i was replying lol.
Dude, its a quatal dagger with a measly 17% extra armor damage, up from 70 to 87%... on a dagger... for 9k? Just look this ship up online.

I thought we were online here

The dagger had no puncture. I posted it's special attack up there. Anyway I think it's not worth 9k at this point, that would be 3 weapon upgrades or some insane armor piece so I'll pass on a weapon I don't really want and I would need to train a new net throw dagger guy to make it work

Damn so close before getting battle forged! I think bros days of service are over

Gifted was 100% a waste for this bro, with that resolve you can also run fearsome.

And yeah, underdog is for stable frontliners.

Gifted is a top tier perk for amazing bros, when you already have a lot of mdef for example, additional 3 taking your chances of being hit from 8% to 5% is insanely good. It's far less impactful on shitters where it doesn't really matter whether that barbarian chosen will have 50 or 53% chance to bonk you on the head. Similar with matk, when you actually encounter some fucker like bladedancer champion with ~90 mdef you will be grateful for every single point of matk on your top tier bros. Additional resolve or hp is a nice bonus too. There really aren't many good enough perks to potentially replace gifted on good bros.

Personally I'm a big hater of recover, I would replace it to get steel brow. After the nerfs it's just dogshit, 99% of fights when you get to the point some of your guys are out of fat, the fight is already in the cleanup phase anyway, and even then with normal fat recovery and weapon mastery bros should all be able to swing once per turn, so:

Without recover:

Turn 1. You swing once.
Turn 2. You swing once. (2 total)
Turn 3. You swing once. (3 total)

With recover:

Turn 1. You use recover.
Turn 2. You swing twice (2 total)
Turn 3. You swing twice (4 total)

Only by turn 3 recover starts giving any real benefits, and you're already so late in the fight by the time you're using it, 3 turns are basically an eternity. It's a waste of a perk, outside of a few very niche builds which spend unholy amounts of fat and can't really function at all with normal fat regen (fencer for example).

This is a game of maximising chances.

Gifted is for helping subpar bros and push critical stas on some builds (more resolve on bannerman, more ratt on ranged, more survival on tank)

The "jump in to finish kill" role you are using that bro can be done by any nimble with just big matt.

Somehow nobody told you the actual answer: You proc dazed with a 2H mace and deathblow with the qatal, potentially with the same bro (adrenaline)!

You are forgetting berserk with recover, makes it so much better. But yeah, everything got nerfed.

Soooo... reforged.

They improved enemy ai a bit? Enemy humans really learned how to use shields, going axe breaking or full backstabber make sense.
But still bandits are really overvalued by contracts, game still got a bit of scaling problem.

I like the new mechanic about weapon reach (longer weapons got a hit bonus vs shorter ones), good sinergy perks to build around.

The different semi-random perks based on origin are more realistic and less stupid than legend, still is silly how nearly every peasant can only learn axe or mace and go dodge nimble (or poise, a middle ground perk between battle forged and nimble).

I beat the undead crisis! Hell yeah. The game said I already won though. I thought this was just midgame (my highest bros are level 8). Did I get my crisis a bit early maybe? I wish everything would escalate a bit more now to be honest instead of ending

A lot of contracts were still not available for me. I did not even find a non-combat follower, like I was supposed to. Btw where are those?

There's hidden bosses through legendary locations, far away from civilization and an hidden quest to find the mighty K.....
As for the camp followers, it's unlocked in the camp menu when you meet the requirements.

Also, another crisis will succeed the first one and so on so if you're bent on exploring the whole map.

If you didn't find great named weapons, you should retire and give the Legends mod a spin.

I found the ratio named to normal weapons pretty fine so far. I like the low fantasy approach.

I just saw the duelist perk. Does this work for my throw weapon guy? The text makes it seem like it does

I think I'll keep this campaign running a bit longer until I get bored and than I try another iron man run with what I have learned from this.

Lvl1 perk: Make shield tank unkillable, tank Library all alone!
+10 def AFTER they hit you 2 times is not that good, this is also IN PLACE of colossus, AND shield mastery is also a uncommon perk.

Crisis are just a global event happening ever 100 days.

Real endgame is going to kill the legendary superboss locations.

install mod to remove hit chance cap, send lone hero with shield and bunch of 2h weapons, facetank in the corner until you literally impossible to hit even without shield, switch to 2h and start grinding.

Didn't try reforged, but if it counts hits on shield for the bonus, then I imagine it indeed would be super OP for a tank.
Yes, it does look good in a vanilla way, but in reforged most perks are random or exclude each other, you are unlikely to find a bro with this, shield mastery and stars on mdef.
Reforged also add alot of "bypass shield/hit head" stuff.

I mean, with removed minimum hit chance, even in vanilla you could easily stack enough mdef to make a bro unkillable.

How it is compared to Legends btw?

I used to like Legends, but with time it became far too bloated with added stuff and unbalanced for me to really enjoy (Similar to what happened with JA2 and 1.13 mod) Is Reforged more compact/balanced, like enhanced vanilla experience rather than crazy fan game? I kinda don't want to waste time trying it if it turns out to just be Legends v2.

Reforged feels alot like early legends, new perks and reworked/tiered opponents.
But it also expand the battle system with new mechanics. (weapon reach, more solid perks/variation)

Example: axe weapon mastery gives you a "counter disarm" and "weaken shield" weapon skills.
Hammer mastery give 2h a additional "big hit push back attack".
Bow mastery got the "arrow to the knee shot".

So I have a crossbow dude.

Ah, good to know. The game said I won and suggested to start a new run. It threw me off a bit.

Just found a named shield. Neat!
