Then congratulations of purchase, it's really amazing piece-of-work. Though I have two C64 I like to get another one, looking like this.

Is that a Commodore PC knockoff? It doesn't look like any Amiga variant I have seen before.

Have any of you guys played this on your Amigas?:

damage-t.png

That game came quite late in the amiga history and wasn't really commercial. Real fun. A game like that is simply inconceivable today  .

Games like this and many others on the Amiga - especially on the Amiga - were just like some mates having a blast, making great games, doing what they wanted to do and having fun. There was so little business in it all. This approach was just totally kickass and often the results were creative, intelligent and stimulative in a nice, simple and to the point, but smart way. I feel that PC as a platform never had this kind of community and approach. From the very start it was quite different.

EDIT:

here's a video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV_JXCEqkbA

It's very small when looked at via youtube, but any of you who have played it will remember how kickass this thing was.

Nice. Are you going to fire up the dos games with it? Or do you prefer emulation?

will prob use it as a retro computer.

Haba, Persian gulf inferno was very fun too. I'm 99% sure i played that game on my C64 and not the Amiga, though. The killing looked quite a bit different on C64...this version does remind of Damage in that respect.

I remember how in Croatia, there was this local gaming magazine at the time Damage came out and there was a review of that game in it. The reviewer said in conclusion something like: "when you're really sick of high summer temperatures, suffocating in public transportation during rush hours, you should really try firing up Damage when you get home".

Is it me, or are C128's rare as hens teeth? I have seen a few people looking for one (including myself), and there should be heaps of PAL versions, but no...nothing. Yet they have shops in the US selling NTSC versions! Bah!

(it says 'ships only to Germany' but usual if you mail them and ask they will ship abroad, never fail for me even once.)

funny enough swedish Tradera.se was empty of C128's this time, usually you would find 2-3 of them on auction there.

Thanks to you I secured a nice 128 original. Everyone says "get a D version" but I like the look of the original personally. This means that I need a 1571 or two now...1541's are ok, but I think (not totally certain) they create a bit of a speed bump. Much appreciated.

On another note Luzur, what do you use as a monitor for your Amiga computers? I have one of the old Amiga 13" jobs here, button on the back. I know there were 14" and 15" monitors out there, or do you have a better alternative?

Oh, while I remember: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/The-Magic-Candle ... 3c9ed4e604

a 1571 could be abit harder to find cheap, since they are popular, i found my boxed one at a fleamarket.

i have 2 Commodore 1084S monitors, although i am aiming at getting a C1960 monitor

So, do you have a ZX spectrum or an Amstrad CPC Luzur ? I always regret giving away the spectrum and selling the Amstrad.
