Hit or miss. How does the hero talent tree feel? As far as I can tell, it looks like just picking the one that goes with your spec (or gimping yourself). Is that right or does it actually do something interesting?
Deathbringer Blood DK is great, whereas San’layn Blood is trash. Deathbringer grants Reaper’s Mark, which explodes up 40 stacks or 20 seconds on a target. Upon explosion, Reaper’s Mark empowers Marrowrend to shoot out scythes and reduces its rune cost. Marrowrend is otherwise typically a bone shield generator with an hefty cost of 2 runes, and so the less runes spent on Marrowrend means runes available for other abilities.
Empowered Marrowrend also has a 30% chance to apply a new Reaper’s Marks. What that means is if you are diligent about Reaper’s Mark, you can have several rolling at a given time, save on runes, and truck a pack. Combine this damage with Voracious (12% leech after death strike) and other sources of leach, and you have a steady source of self-healing. I should add that to pop Reaper’s Mark asap, you need to keep the target in Death and Decay and actively use blood boil, Reaper Strike, etc.
Also, in the Deathbringer tree is a talent called Wither Away, where Blood Plague deals full damage in half the duration. This is amazing because of Umbillcus Eternus, which gives a shield for 5x the damage done by blood plague during the duration of Vampiric Blood. I can obtain a 10-15 million absorption shield by combining Dancing Rune Weapon (triple blood plague on all targets) + Vampiric Blood + Blood Boil + Consumption (30% dmg buff to Blood Plague) + rapid decomposition (talent that boosts BP by 15%).
Deathbringer rewards proper play of Blood Dk, whereas Blood San'layn is degenerate.
Another example of a cool hero tree is Hellcaller Warlock. Hellcaller gives a Saytr/shadow form during a cooldown. I think rogues were the only class with all around bad hero trees.
The quest wasn’t great for the most part, but I took the finale as an end to the Anduin mope phase. I thought Blizzard was going to drag it out for another patch or two.Questline ends with Anduin sitting down on a rock pouting for the Nth time.
Although I would think resurrecting the dead (or near dead) would make him a kill-on-sight target for many factions. While we resurrect the dead all the time in-game or villains return, true resurrection doesn’t seem common in this actual story/setting.
