That video is hilarious because he seems to cancel WoW because of the lawsuit against them but then when he starts to talk about the lack of proper balancing you know where his heart really is. He doesn't give a fuck about the accusations against BlizAct, he is furious because WoW is bad at balancing some armor sets or stuff. Real hero here

Yeah I thought so as well, but then again, maybe I'm too harsh on the man. He does word in a "straw that broke the camel's back"-sort of way, after all.

To me, it sounds like a guy who has finally found a reason to get rid of his addiction

Preach hasn't been playing much WoW these last few years, even though it's his main source of income. So your hearing might need tuning.

What he has been doing is complaining endlessly about the direction of the game.

As a codexer you should know how addictive complaining about things can be

I wonder how many more expansions this game can even make before it goes under. Are there really that many new players hopping into nuWoW to bolster the dwindling ranks of the older players who still stick around due to nostalgia?

Blizzard releases a bunch of blanket statements to make the workplace better so all the vicarious retards can feel good.

They release some patch that has feedback that players wanted to see implemented.

All their content creators return.

I sleep.

These niggaz are pure grifters. You think limey-boy up there will kill off his main audience for the sanctity of allegedly molested vaginas everywhere? HAHAHAAAAA. I say by November you'll see him making a big "return" to WoW to drum up interest once again and get all sorts of curiosity views.

The walk-out is a way for employees to enjoy the summer, and the outrage by content creators is a way to revitalize their stagnant channels. Fuck 'em.

True addicts never quit. Its always there, even in the back of your mind... waiting... breathing whispers in your subcon.... you're missing out.... log on.... just a few minutes... buy an asset before it disappears... just a few % of xp..... just a level.... just a raid... it won't take long.

Hmmm... I haven't logged into EUO in fuck... i can't remember. I haven't turned the computer on in over a month. I guess iphone is my addiction now.... or posting here for some fucking reason. Is that better than playing WOW?

I must admit I've always hated WOW, so seeing it going down brings a smile to my face. As a teenager I loved Warcraft 3 and the lore of the world. I really wanted to see what they would do with the story in Warcraft 4. Then they announced they were doing an mmo, World of Warcraft. I thought "Okay this is just a little side thing for Warcraft, the main story will still be in RTS games." Then I watched it fucking explode in popularity.

Actually tried playing it in the beginning. Was basically soloing from what I can remember, until I started getting to dungeons and quests that had "elite" enemies that you needed a party to complete. I'm a 100% guy when it comes to video games. So I was like "Okay, I finally have to group up with others."

I remember spending something like two to three hours just trying to find or get a group together for this one dungeon. Eventually I did get a group together, but I had to leave the game due to real life. At that point I was like "I spent more time trying to get a group together than playing the game. Screw this. Single player games for me."

dungeon groups take less than 10 minutes to get together now lol
but yeah in vanilla it would take hours and then you actually spend a shit load of time just walking to the dungeon, then someone leaves and you wait some more

and to nobody's surprise; the bald, overweight, virgin neckbeard streamers have been mad that retail WoW doesn't waste enough time for years

I guess WOW isn't blocky anymore? I never played and only go by the ancient southpark episode. I started watching this playthrough.

TBH, I don't know a fucking thing about original wow on up as far as lore, drops, adjustments, campaign, raids, etc etc. I probably know more about world of porncraft than warcraft. "Fuck the dark elves and bring them to ectsesy" pictures showing quest complete xp, title. I guess creative artists.

I guess I didn't care to get hooked to a game you pay monthly for (and dialup sucked).

That's the new optional starting zone for the Alliance, but you can play the regular stuff if you want. Quick rundown of the WoW lore:

Classic: Short stories that don't have much of an overarching plot. Oh, except that Lady Prestor is actually Onyxia.
The Burning Crusade: Go to another world to fight the triumvirate of simps lead by Illidan Stormrage.
Wrath of the Lich King: Arthas from Warcraft III is back and he's pissed. And dead.
Cataclysm: The world's on fire, put out the fire.
Mists of Pandaria: Pandering to China with pandas. Deal with your negative emotions by beating the shit out of them with your bare hands.
Warlords of Draenor: Let's use time travel to go back to Outland before it went to shit. Leveling's nice, but there's a massive endgame drought.
Legion: Oh shit a demon invasion, go fight the demons. Also Illidan is brought back to help defeat satan.
Battle for Azeroth: Warcraft IV, and everyone's trying to make new friends to have more boats. Except no, an Old God tries to take over the world. He dies. Maybe.
Shadowlands: Thanos is just Thanatos with fewer letters, so if you wrote out the entire word... The afterlife is infinitely big except you get to play in only four zones before you dick around in Thanatos-Thanos' back yard. We're going full cosmic here.

Back then I never even thought of the China - Panda connection. Same with UO or was that Samurai instead?

All these quitters are cowards, though. You can get Blizzard to delete your account and that's what they should be doing if they're really up in arms over what's happening. Go big.

This drama is just a great source of clicks and an awesome excuse to pat yourself on the back while virtue signaling all over the fucking social media. Everyone will be “quitting wow”, till next month, when the new flavor of the month hits…

It's understandable though. Many of those people grew up with WoW, so it's hard for them to turn their back to it no matter how shitty it becomes.

I mean the sexual harassment shit, no one’s quitting over that.

People just want to play their fucking video games, that’s it.

He was never going to get away from WoW anyway. I don't see people watching him for anything else other than WoW videos and this was an easy way for him to cash on the hatetrain.
I'd say someone like MadSeason has more chance to keep to his word, mainly cause he didn't quit because of the sexual allegations (and isn't trying to play off that angle) but rather because Blizzard somehow managed to fuck up Classic WoW too.

WoW has been pretty dire for the last few years, and now that the accusations are coming out it's one step too far for people who only needed just one more reason for them to quit. This is anathema to anyone providing a recurring service: NEVER give your customers an out.

Vast majority of those who “quit” because they are bored of it will be back next expansion.

… and those who do it over the accusations will be back once the drama stops giving them a profit.
