If I recall correctly the people who made the Riddick game game left and no longer work there.

Codex 2012 Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
The shenanigans with Prey 2 are also alarming. Oh well, nobody is forcing anybody to buy their games. Will wait for some gameplay footage.

They're gonna upgrade Prey 2 to the idTech 5 since the old shitty engine couldn't make things happen for ~2013 standards. Takes time.
Seriously, how long has that game been in production?

Well I'm all for killing more Nazis but I'm not sure how they're going to produce anything that's going to sell big as I'm pretty sure the Wolfenstein boat has long since sailed. The last title was semi-decent but I think it sank like a stone sales-wise. At best we might get some nice art design that blends Mad Men and the Third Reich I guess.

hopefully it's open world with non-linear side missions and upgradable equipment.

veronica spetzenhaower: we need 7 pieces of scrap metal for the resistance. u can find them in the abandoned factories to the east.
veronica spetzenhaower: we were attacked while u were gone! we fought them off but not before they got rylo! go and get some medical supplies. about 3 caches ought to be enough. u can find them in the nazi encampment to the north
veronica spetzenhaower: u got those supplies just in time. i found this while u were away, take it. (received: small arms damage upgrade kit)

runaway joe: i can fix that shooter for u (12% range) just bring me some parts. the germans must have then in one of their bunkers.

once u do a number of side missions and get upgrades you're strong enough to take on the next story mission.

What's all this renewed interest in mechs? Former Infinity Ward guys are working on a new corridor shoter Call of Duty clone with mechs and battle suits, and now this.

Is the industry really aiming at making the next generation of video games possibly more boring than this one?

BTW, I always had a sweet spot for Wolfenstein games but a dystopian future with nazi-mech is really too hard to swallow. I miss you, Helga! :(

So, how about some "flesh-mech" - big walkers made from various body parts taken nonvoluntarily from a non-pure slovenian slaves or something. A mech idea could be a creative one.

Mechs = future warfare = killing brown people without stretching it's own neck out = cool shitz. A slow brainwashing process to adjust public perception that drones, surveillance and robots are good for all of us.

Or maybe it's just that nerds and kidz like that stuff so it's obviously good for business.
