What's your favorite weapon in RPGS?

Longsword seems to be most popular, 12 votes so far, personally I'm not fan of sword an shield style, mostly dual wielding or some two handed weapon.

I like one-handed spear/shield combos myself, but only in games where the range advantage is noted

For modern ranged weaponry, I like Revolvers and Shotguns.

I have to say, I really enjoyed throwing an emergency javelin, from time to time, in Solasta early game.
Just a proper manly throwing weapon. And unlike most throwing weapons in games, this one is not useless IRL.

Spears are kinda gay, to be honest.
Though immensely useful throughout history, being one of the earliest killing implements devised by man.
Oh and let's just look at the macedonians and their spears...
