Merida, again
The emulator for PC works good enough, last time I tried it. Thing is mouse and keyboard make the game incredibly easy. It's a joy to play and far less clunky, but you will end up getting bored from how trivial the levels are. Good for a nostalgia run.

Because the enemies take so long to shoot you, for example slowly getting down on one knee like they're posing for a photo. I don't know. Might still play it again with a controller. When I was a kid, I finished all the levels on 00 Agent except I think the last special level, Egyptian.

[...] the only question that remains for me is the durability of the dualsense; absolutely the most important thing for me in purchasing a controller. So many cheap, badly designed, shoddy and built to disintegrate controllers have passed through my hands over the years but I have never seen anything like the DS4. In 15 years, if I see people still using their original Dual Sense controllers, I will be suitably impressed.
AFAIK they made it so that once the dual sense's battery is truly dead it won't work even while plugged in. You'll have to either hack it/screw with the wires, pay for a replacement battery/swap, or pay for a new controller which sony sells for a nice profit. I imagine they're counting on most playstation customers choosing the latter option.

Wow, I didn't know that. Fucking scummy Sony. I always assumed that when the irreplaceable batteries in my wireless controllers and keyboards shit the bed I could always just plug it into the USB port and VOILÀ! Back from the dead. Now I don't have that option with the DualSense it seems. I'm still waiting for this to be under $40 on an amazon lightning sale or something because it does everything but give me oral pleasure (and there might even be a slot for that).

Just pull the trigger on it, it's worth it.

A year and a half in, my Nacon Pro Controller works very well, almost as new. It's a bit smaller than a normal xbox controller, but it's still pretty sturdy. It also has built in Dolby Atmos.

Only the white 8Bitdo 64 Bluetooth is available for order. Why couldn't they take the N64 button color pattern like Retro Fighters did? It looks so bland in one color. For uniformity with their other controllers, I guess. Gay. Retro Fighters doesn't advertise Hall Effect for theirs.

I've never paid more than $40 for a game controller (most I ever paid was $35 for the DualSense on sale from Walmart) and probably never will. I did pay $50 for a Thrustmaster T.16000M flight stick with halls effect sensors though. I heard some users say on a forum that the 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller was the least ergonomic, least comfortable controller they ever used but maybe they had big club hands or something.

Hori’s officially licensed Steam controller is coming to the US
The $60 gamepad comes with buttons for opening Steam menus and touch sensors on its joysticks.

Hori originally released its Wireless Horipad for Steam in October — but only in Japan. The controller features dedicated buttons you can use to pull up menus in Steam, whether you’re playing in Big Picture Mode, or on the company’s handheld. Just like on the Steam Deck, the gamepad comes with touch sensors on its joysticks for motion controls and mappable back buttons.

My Steam Controller is in the box, pristine condition. Do not care for it. Don't have an Ebay seller account. Got it for like five bucks when Valve liquidated their inventory.

touch sensors on sticks is a great idea and makes a flick stick control scheme a lot easier to work with, but 60 dollars is robbery without hall effect sticks (which are widely available on $20 controllers now)
Steam Controller 2 when?
china already made one. quality looks to be complete shit, just like steam controller 1

I switched from my old and busted Xbone official controller to a series X one this month. my reasoning was p ordinary - old micro usb cable started losing connection and I don't like charging controllers. the sticks were so worn some meat was torn off them. face buttons got clicky.

so the new controller has annoyingly unresponsive sticks, face buttons are clicky by default, and dpad feels awful. at least I have my usb-C cable, heh.

Looking again at the 8BitDo 64 controller, I notice that the Z buttons (Wish there was only one.) are triggers. The RetroFighters Brawler64 also has triggers. Haven't these assholes touched an N64 controller before?
