Not a huge fan of the save town A or save town B thing that I keep reading, wish they'd stop brining up that same scenario as the poster child for great c&c.

Just to really spam this up. I have one slightly more clearer shot of the new UI. Sorry again about the crap quality.

Cool article. And the new AP counter is way way better than the old one. Now they only need to implement an easter egg animation where a 9 randomly flickers and turns into 8 on the counter, and then back into 9. ;)

"100% of a transparent development process."

You're not Obsidian, Fargo. And even they aren't 100% transparent.

I'd say it's time to worry if the beta isn't out by next week. They're having big problems if it's taking more than a month to fix the issues found by the small group of external testers.

Beta won't be out until next year (IMO).

I'd say Double Fine are pretty transparent as well. Not sure if you have access to their documentary.

Tsk tsk. You should be pleased with the Wasteland 2 team's politics, Roguey.

New UI looks good with an LCD display replacing the basketball shot clock.
Excellent, exactly what I wanted.
:smug:

EDIT:

You should be nicer to Fargo. If there wasn't a Fargo, there probably wouldn't be a Feargus. And without a Feargus, there definitely wouldn't be a Josh...

You should at least offer Fargo sloppy seconds ya know. Think about it.

I love Colin's comments about BioWare :incline:
I read maybe 3 or 4 pages, and there seems to be a lot more honesty than I'm used to in interview/preview pieces for these sorts of things (as well as a favorable anti-AAA slant). Is this typical for PCPowerPlay (however it's spelled)?

Finally donated, been thinking of doing it for the last 6 months but first now did I overcome my laziness and make 3 mouse clicks and log into my Paypal account.

I've waited ages for a proper sequel to Fallout 3!

That picture looks a lot better than the video I saw the other day.

I'm not sure about the printer in the interface though. The whole game I'll be thinking, What happens when the paper runs out? And I see they've replaced hexes with squares. I preferred hexes, but I expect I'll get used to it.

Yeah, it does seem very binary. Every time I see it, I'm reminded of XCOM. You can send a plane to save Germany, Japan, or Australia ... but you only have one plane! Really? I'm saving the earth here, can't I rent a couple helicopters? ... But I'm sure it will feel much more natural in Wasteland 2. Hopefully it only seems contrived in the previews because they're giving the "10 words or less" pump-up.

His comments are indeed great, but so far I saw nothing that really proves they are doing something that special... that prison demo they showed months ago was quite in line with BioWare.

And TOO SOON to go "inXile's philosophy is player choice yada-yada-yada...". inXile's last games where Hunted: The Demon's Forge and Choplifter HD, FFS.
