Since you're newer to the game and might not know this, allow me to give you the gift of salt.

Wasn't a lot of that due to the Prime release reshuffling? The initial replacement was fusion cores for some C rotations.

now i remember why i took a break from warframe, even if i love it so much: rot c.
you just can't give me a forma blueprint or some gorram cores after a 30 minutes effort.

on a side note, i put a potato in my secura penta. tonkor who?

Yeah, I was real excited about the Secura Penta too and I enjoy it a lot, but Tonkor has a lot more raw damage output and is safer. It depends on the map, but sooner or later you're probably going to roast yourself.

The latest weapon I'm enamored with with is Akstiletto Prime. You can throw all the rest of your akimbo pistols, machine pistols, and SMGs in the trash, because Akstiletto Prime is the new king. It has more sustained damage than just about any other secondary, nearly as much burst as Twin Grakatas depending on build (though you can get very sporadic 80-100k bursts with certain Twin Grakata builds), fast reload, great accuracy, great status, decent crits, and a long-lasting ammo pool.

almost all my frames sport quick thinking. i blast my own face more often than i could count, but i keep ha-ha-ha-ha-staying alive because my helios refreshes shields and heals me and is immune to friendly fire, so i keep going anyway.
the reason i prefer the penta over the tonkor is probably the same between hek and tigris: i don't want to spend half my playtime reloading.

You bring the Tigris to blast bosses in the backpack, and other shotguns for everything else... although, with Mirage and reload and punchthrough mods, the Tigris makes an excellent flak cannon.

The Vaykor hek seems like a massive improvement over the normal Hek, am I wrong?

If you have maxed (or at least R8-9) Primed Ravage, then the Vaykor Hek is pretty much straight-up better, particularly since you only reload half as often.

The Hek is a lot more accessible and friendlier to the pocketbook, though, and is fairly effective thanks to Scattered Justice. Also, it's superior versus targets that are immune to crits, which is a small benefit but a benefit nonetheless.

Holy potato, I am gone for the weekend and suddenly here is more activity than the whole last month...

Bunch of Gat-dang noobs in this thread, from the looks of it. I stopped playing Warfarm in November of last year at MR20

... okay.

Draco is the fastest way of leveling your forma'd shit and gain a fuckton of focus on the way. Draco... isn't really rocket science. It's Ceres FFS, only competence required is capturing a point and not-dying every 30 secs, something even pugs manage to display most of the time. One guy with a decent gun like Sonicor can clear the map to carry them. Or if you really want to be lazy you can just park ASS prime and feed him with energy from whatever source. No need for some super special builds to show off. At best you could bring a speed Nova IF you have to team to handle it to speed it up.
Only problem is being out of range for xp if you squat at the outer cap points.

Welp, better level our crap while Draco is still a thing. :salute:

Mag... Mag is soooo last year.

Last year was all Mesa until Mesa got nerfed, not that I cared too much. While I was ranking up, I preferred not to stand around getting free affinity.

All you have to do with Mag is cap A and D, neutralize B and C, then sit in the room under D pressing 4 and shitting out pizzas. Gets people without affinity boosters maxed in two (longer) rounds, and about 30k Focus for the Mag, more if she runs out to grab a focus power-up. There's no faster way to do it I've ever seen or heard of, and I doubt Nova would really help that much, although it might be needed with a non-min-maxed Mag.

If you just want to get Focus and level up your shit, Hieracon is the way to go since it yields keys and cores. Sure it's Infested, but there are absolute shitloads of them and the requirements for what to bring are more relaxed than Triton.

Doesn't matter anyway, since they're "enhancing" the Star Chart.

I just need Saryn Prime Chassis; I traded one of my Rhino Prime sets for Vauban Prime.

It's Spira Prime that's gonna be a bitch to farm, I just know it.

"Incompetence"... more like plausible deniability. DE's been going on for a year now about the evils of mandatory +damage mods, meanwhile they continue to release primed damage mods.

Today was a good day. Did the level 100-200 Infested Survival Orokin Reactor alert with a PUG, went as Banshee with a corrosive/heat Ignis; there was a slow Nova there too, and a couple of scroobs. Finished without any issues.

Also, saw this around the time Baro dropped:

I managed it in a pug as well boy was it tight. I managed to survive with all my revives lost on my Nova Prima only because of Shade's stealth ability sneaking to the extraction point alongside the Infested who could all one or two shot me. Lel.

I've had pretty good luck with frame parts, not so much with the secondaries\melee.

I certainly don't regret putting a Greater Zanurik lens on Mag. Two sessions of Crush spam Draco, even with Rando Calrissians on Public, and my Focus is maxed for the day. I generally prefer to play Hieracon with Ember (also with Greater Zanurik), but there's a massive flood of MR1-6 useless bastards in Hieracon for some reason. I don't mind carrying scroobs, but when the excavator blows up every time I try to grab a Convergence orb, it gets pretty fucking annoying. Most of the clan officers/Warframe veterans I know are playing other games while they wait for updates, and my British best Warframe friendo is off to see his pals for the weekend, so I have a selection of mid-MR clannies to do shit with and I really don't like sitting around waiting to fill up slots.

These Focus trees are pretty retarded, though. Most of them have one very good passive and one or two decent ones; the rest just increase cooldown for marginal and fleeting benefits. Even Zanurik's primary ability suffers from this, because if you max it out, you have to wait 10 additional seconds when kicking in your energy passives for the first time. If DE wants more grinding, they should reduce the cooldown penalty for each active Focus ability to, say, -20 seconds.

The focus trees haven't been touched since they were introduced 6 months ago.

Maybe they will make some changes in 2018.

That +4 energy/sec buff is hugely appreciated. It's extraordinarily helpful for any frame that doesn't rely on channeled abilities, particularly Chroma, Vauban, Nova, Rhino, Volt, Mag, and Loki. Vauban perhaps gains the greatest benefit since he can fill the galaxy up with Bastille and Vortex given large amounts of energy.

I just finished the Second Dream quest yesterday, plugged in the Zenurik lens into my Nova Prime and now realize the way I play Focus gain is painfully slow. Made like 8k since yesterday...

If you put a lens on Ember and play Hieracon, you should get a fair bit of Focus, although you really also need a lens on at least one weapon, and then bring only that one weapon. Nothing is as fast as Mag spamming Crush on Draco, though. An affinity booster doubles your Focus gain. If you don't have a booster, multiple lenses, and optimal setups/missions, though, it's grindy as FUCK.

I am a Spy mission master, effortlessly soloing Earth, Grineer, and Corpus tilesets in under 4 minutes, Uranus in under 6, and... well, fuck Orokin Moon. I've finished some Orokin Moon Spy missions, but they're a pain in the ass.

I actually liked the moon spy missions. I ought to go back and do some more of that place. Only ones that pissed me off were the infested ones. Fucking shitheads just follow you into the spy rooms? Dude, I'm trying to spy here, fuck off!

So in my quest to grind out Ash I've gotten the helmet and chasis from about 20 survival runs so far, and bought the blueprint for the vaykor hek trial that supposedly is swarming with the fuckers. Given that the drop rate on systems is under 8% I might end up asking for some bros to run that with me if I can't throw a pub group together, because I don't feel like risking the chance I do another 20 20 minute runs just to get copies of the shit I already have. Aside from just getting the last part, I'm curious about the mission itself too, game has an interesting setting imo. Cheesy as fuck of course, but it suits the gameplay.

There's also a method involving high rank syndicate missions, but that's a grind in and of itself it seems.
