This would mean that Colombia and Venezuela share a state at game start, which I didn't think was possible (subdividing a state).

Also the political map at game start (white being the decentralized countries that you can't play):

So it won't be possible to play as Austria-Hungary and Kazakhstan?
Austria is grey, not white. And dunno about Kazakhstan, keep in mind that this is modeled on the leak + tweaks made by the map creator based on various changes that the devs have already confirmed.

‘Kazakhs’ is decentralized and can’t be played as.

P.S. HeroMarine If you see the little bit of flame on the border between Brazil and Grão-Pará, it looks like you start at war and don’t have to waste any time wiping it off the map.

Also, according to someone who played the leak:
Some leader ideologies are in fact limited to certain IGs. For anyone who has the leaked version, they can be seen at /game/common/ideologies.

Some examples:

Moderate can be had by anyone

Atheist can be had by Trade Unions, Armed Forces, Petty Bourgeoisie or Industrialists

Pacifist can be had by anyone excepted Armed Forces

Communist can be had by Rural Folk, Intelligentsia, Trade Unions or Armed Forces

Fascist can be had by anyone

Anarchist can be had by Rural Folk, Intelligentsia or Trade Unions

Twitter teaser of current AI tweaking meant to ensure that a GP won't commit to some massive war just so that a minor can grab some land.

The developers did a three-hour livestream playing as Japan. I only caught the latter third or so, but the VOD is up. Again, from what I saw I was pleasantly surprised by their attitudes and desire to tune and fix any incorrect or unbalanced AI/system behavior. Skip to 1:33:00:

I hope that Paradox will make capitalism a mess like in Vic 2. Obviously communism will be the best choice, but please add some delegation of tasks, the central planning doesn't mean that stalin personally oversaw every fucking factory being build, opened or closed.

And they still haven't renamed the Shogunate (Landowner) IG to Daimyo or Han. Really silly to see the Tokugawa Shogunate remove 'the Shogunate' from power, lol.

Map of the various states (from the leak, so it might be tweaked by the time of release):

Oh wow finally a proper Grão-Pará with historical borders and... what the FUCK PARADOX!!

What the fuck is that abominable anachronistic "blue long Amapá"? Why Grão-Pará and Maranhão & Piaui are together in 1835? Why Tocantins (which was northern Goyaz at the time) is also part of it? Why Pará has modern-day borders? Why Goyaz (yes its spelt that way back then) and Mato Grosso are one province?!

MOTHERFUCKING PARADOX CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO GOOGLE FOR FIVE MINUTES
FUCK

Grão-Pará is ahistorical here, the rebellion broke out on like January 6th 1835, it should't possess all of the north like that at gamestart. Would make more sense for it pop up as a rebellion in the 6th of January, but as license, having the rebellion own Belém and surrounding at game start would make far more sense.

The map is as retarded as ever. That Mid Asia. That US. That Russia. Even Aussie is totally colonized for some reason.
