What do you mean? There's a problem when you free the half-ogres and the whole T'sen-Ang turns on you, the guards at the entrance attack you as well, and Virgil's dialog doesn't fire. You have to click on him after the guards are dead, in this case. I was meaning to add a heartbeat script that would constantly try to run the dialog, but I'm afraid of adding anything custom to the game these days.

Aha, I had freed the half ogres. I had to click him multiple times to get the dialog activated. He was just doing the normal "what-do-you-want?" everytime I clicked him.

Little texture bug. I found it when was in the Panarii temple in Caladon on "passage" texture. Maybe this bug affect all places with same passage, but I catch it only there.

I mark it with red circle, it's red dot on the floor. This dot change brightness when I move mouse over passage.

Thank you kindly

Just wanted to add my thanks for this amazing effort. Let me apologize if you answered this before, I've not read the entire thread, (aprox 30-40 pages) but how exactly did you fix the reflect spell glitch? Is it in the scripts or mes files, or was it in the modified app? Thanks in advance.

I, too, wanted to express my thanks. I`m eagerly waiting for the next patch, as I would very much like to know more about the dwarven ancient age (Eric Obsidian dialog) :)

1. Impossible to enter Thieves Cave (s1529w1534) with familiar because of size check. They fly but they small. I think familiar should pass size check for this cave.
Or, because of some places where character must be alone, possible to enable "Wait" command in familiar context menu (on portrait).
2. Strange grave and gravestone at Stringy Pete’s Cove (s682w1339). Grave looks like new but impossible to dig. Also show nothing when hover mouse pointer on gravestone.

Yes, it's the same problem as with entering the Pit on the Isle of Despair. There's no real fix for it, I'm afraid, since if I add the wait command, it may become possible to exploit the game and summon more than one familiar. Anyway, considering the Thieves Cave you can cast the Shrink spell on your familiar or may simply kill him (alt+click while in the combat mode). The script just checks for small races and the Shrink spell. It will be tedious to add all small monster types, and moreover, it will be custom content.

EDIT:
Finally fixed Tulla's runes (all 21).

I give "Map of Tarantian Sewers" to Thaddeus Mynor (Tarant Underground leader, quest to join Underground) and steal it from them when they sleep. Now every time when map in my inventory and I talk to him appear [643]"I have retrieved your map." choice in dialog window. If I chose it they say thanks to me and nothing more happen. I think this text shouldn't appear at all if quest with map already finished.
p.s. I can't understand why I even don't think about casting "Shrink" on familiar...

It seems that in the quest to find Matt DeCesare, when you tell him that the half-orc wants to see him, the combat sequence between the half-orc bandit and Matt doesn't always trigger.

One thing that I may need some opinions on.

For whatever reason they've made it so that NPC monsters can get their resistances above 95, thus rendering them invincible in some cases. E.g. you can summon an ogre (or a more powerful monster), cast Shield of Protection on him and he will be invincible to any physical damage. Anyway, this is not really a bug, since there's a check if a critter is a PC or NPC, and then another check if it's a monster or not. Looks like this is another of their 'questionable' ideas.

Anyhow, I'm going to remove this. Any objections?

What do you mean by 'remove' though?

Like are you going to disable the ability to cast shield of protection on them, or are you just going to lower their base stats?
I'm talking about resistances, not base stats. The resistances are capped at 95, but an additional check makes an exception for monster NPCs. I'm going to remove this check, since it breaks the game, in my opinion.

BTW, just found some more of omitted stuff. Excellent ambient tracks for the Wastes region never played because of yet another typo. Makes me sad. Also, restored some omitted sounds for the rat and lizard men's soundbanks.

This game is truly a train wreck.

Yeesh. Well done, but as you said, it was in one hell of a mess when you consider all these errors you've uncovered.

This is more cosmetic I guess...or is it supposed to happen?

Anyways, I escorted Swyft to Tarant, she disbanded when we got there, etc. However, I then go back to Qintarra to pick up Raven and it seems Swyft has returned! She acknowledges that the quest is completed ("Thanks for escorting me to Tarant") but I just find it wierd that she came straight back.

That is normal, Swyft apparently handles her business in Tarant and heads back home. Unless of course Drog discovers there is more to the mystery...

It is quite astounding how much more depth to this game there should have been.

bug

I don't know whether or not you check your PMs, but I sent you one regarding a bug, and asking for some advice. I would really appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks again for all the hard work.

Her stand point is in Qintarra, so she returns back there when she's no longer in your party. It's OK, I guess.

I have noticed that when loading up saved games my PC sometimes jumps location by a couple feet, possibly trapping them. I didn't notice this before, and don't know whether it's due to the resolution patch, the UAP, or the extra pack.

P.S. Please don't ask for any cheats/exploits. I'm ignoring such requests.

oops

Oops, can't believe I missed that on the second page. This thread's so long I must have forgotten. I've notice that if Willoughsby's ogre bodyguard (I forget his name) dies, once you complete the persuasion mastery quest, he's alive again in Caladon. As per my request, I was more curious as to setting how spells are targeted for a pet project of my own, recruitment of NPCs based on disposition, level/race relationships.

Wow, I have to say I haven't had Arcanum installed on one of computers in years, I thinks it's been 4 or 5. I stumble across this on Friday and installed the game and the uap. I'm really glad someone has the time, expertise, and love of the game it takes to restore it. Hats off to you Drog. I'm very impressed with your skills. I was wondering if someone could post spoilers to the added endings, I will probably have time for one playthrough, but I've got to many commitments right now and I don't get to play but a couple hours every week. On a side note, someone had mentioned adding nude models, and some racier stuff to arcanum. and I was, errrr well ummmm a little intrigued

So anyway if anyone had some thoughts on that, or where I could find a mod for it for Arcanum. I just hope I haven't earned the reputation "pervert of Tarant" on the boards

Actually I had one other thing I thought about. Was there any other content to the Matt De Ceasar quest? I remember on my last play through (which admittedly was like 4 years ago) that the last step in that quest was the Gnome that meets you and tells you to forget about what you had seen and not go to the papers. . Then if you go to the papers, nothing ever happens. This seemed like a really long side quest with no real ending, I have to say I think it fits about the Gnomish Oligarchy being powerful enough to make it disappear, but I don't know, it just feels unfinished.

Question about the charged axe

Drog good work on the extra pack. I had a quick question? What is the item number for the charged axe schematic for the invensource.mes file. I am using a modded one and would like to add it in.

Thanks

If you give proof to papers then leave for a one day and then return, the real newspaper man shows up.

There is a mod to expand this quest. Search it from Terra Arcanum (I think).

I have not heard any nude patch, so I cannot help you with your lowly needs.
