Would Tyranny have sold better if it didn't have the soy artstyle? I tried to mock up something better with some Brom clipart.

If they make Tyranny 2, how to improve the gameplay while not straying away from RtwP ?
Why wouldn't they stray away from RTwP? Tyranny's combat is a disaster all around; you need at least 5x the enemy variety and you need to get rid of the MMO cooldown-cycling. You might as well switch to turn-based if you want to fix it.

Insert Boromir One does not simply fix RtwP with TB. It's a myth many fall on to.
Enemy variety is a must. That's most glaring issue.

Lore dumps should be removed.

Just finished Rebel, Scarlet Chorus and Anarchy playthroughs of Tyranny.

Considering the mixed/negative reaction it got from the Codex, it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The story and C&C are actually pretty good, and the combat system is solid. My main issue with it is that is just feels... unfinished. Act 1 is a solid set-up, Act 2 is a decent romp where you work for your faction, which allows you to elucidate a bit of Kyros' plan and the nature of Archons and Edicts while accumulating power, and then Act 3 is essentially just a couple of uninspiring boss fights, declare an Edict and LOL game over. Any spires you didn't claim in Act 2 you just walk into and activate, there is no associated quest involved. You don't get to really play with any of the new abilities/spells you discovered late in Chapter 2 and 3, you have the option to research + craft a lot of stuff but there is no way you'd have the time if you played through the game normally instead of just travelling back and forth between two locations mindlessly to pass time.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
I liked the combat system, especially the magic.

Magic was really cool. But otherwise the balance was poor, you had way too many buttons too click, artifacts with unique per rest powers were forming a large heap of junk, and so on.
Also, it was too repeatable.

Cool concept, terrible execution. Magic was fun but spamming cooldowns and encounter design ruined the combat. There are like 5 different enemies in the game and one monster. Act 3 was terrible and some retarded decisions can be forced on you.

Codex Year of the Donut
Female companions: Verse, Eb, Sirin
Male companions: Barik, Lantry
Monster companion: Kills-in-Shadows
Overall not bad. The game was let down by its abrupt ending, but the setting, plot and the "combos" gameplay addition to the usual formula held up.

And so what ?? They're well written and interesting for the most part, they could have added a few more, Tarkis Arri for instance, the leader of the Vendrien Guard, she could have been made into a full-fledged companion if you were to pick the rebel path, against all odds. They could've done more with Sirin though, I wish the Main character was given an option/a path to champion her cause instead of her being a simple follower, she was an archon after all, and one with considerable power.

Don't care about this game but...

If the ladies are sexay, this is great news.

On the other hand, it is 2022, so chances are, the women are butt ugly.

Verse, Eb, and Sirin are all solid picks for whatever age preference one may have (young adult, middle-aged, teenager).

She was born in 416 and the current year is 432 so she's 16. As Kurt Vonnegut wrote, "Roses are red/and ready for plucking/you're sixteen/and ready for high school."
Modern feminists will tear you to shreds for suggesting it to an “underage” girl.
Tranny generally has boring characters be it male or female ones except Lantry?

But serious lads, do we have any at least small hope for Tyranny 2 to be created or it is lost in Paradox archives for good?

They should have made Avowed in the Tyranny universe. But noooooo, let's do more generic PoE fantasy instead.
Paradox owns Tyranny, and I doubt Microsoft wants to spring money to buy the rights to a game that underperformed.
