A lot of the gold that made Europe great in the early modern era came from the Americas but you don't see Aztects lounging around in Spain in the 1500s. Material goods don't have to be personally delivered by the people who procure them. The silk that Byzantine emperors used to make their fine garments from came from China, but it wasn't delivered by Chinamen - but by a long chain of middlemen who operated along the Silk Road. Chinese merchant sells silk to Indian merchant - Indian merchant sells silk to Persian merchant - Persian merchant sells silk to Roman merchant. Roman merchant in turn sells something the Chinese covet as an exotic western good, and that too takes the same road, changing hands at every step of the way.

If any of the gold in Europe at the time came from Mali (doubtful - Malian trade was mostly with North African muslim nations, which tended to be in a state of conflict rather than trade with Catholic Europe. And if those traded with Europe, they would do so with mediterranean coastal nations: Spanish, Italian, Occitan, Byzantine) it would have changed hands a dozen times before arriving there. There's a fair amount of them who are polite and civil in their criticism of DEI and ESG initiatives as they are well aware that the same progressives championing them only wield their ilk as a hammer to destroy society at large for absolutely everybody.

Progressives can't afford to allow that to be exposed, though. So their concerns are silenced and censored as well, not in the least because they have no real counter to it.
