It's basically Zelda with a retarded 90's comic book look (and an equally retarded 90's comic book nonsensical story to go with that look) and light arr pee gee elements. You could do worse for the price it's going now, I suppose.

Yeah. I played it on my (flashed) 360 when it first came out. It was pretty fun actually with good variety and some nice little zelda like puzzles.

Like most ported console 3rd person action games, I'd imagine it would play better on the PC with a 360 controller.

Fuck you haters, Darksiders is a good post-apocalyptic hack n slash/zelda clone/platformer. 7.50? Hell, for that price i'd buy it soley for Mark Hamill's oudstanding voice acting. :smug: The game has enough content to keep you busy for a few days. It's fucking worth it.

Not on sale but in a couple of days a new Ghostbusters game will be released. It's an action/isometric co-op shoot-em-up that I've heard will be only $10.

Not EXACTLY a Steam deal, but it can be played through Steam. Global Agenda is $10 currently at their webpage http://www.globalagendagame.com/
However, you can bump it down to $5 by using one of these codes.

GACOU266532614576
GACOU266532614575
GACOU266532614532
GACOU266532614573
GACOU266532614579
GACOU266532603670
GACOU266532614577

And then you can either play using the client downloaded from their webpage, or by clicking on "Download demo" in Steam and logging in to your full account.

Is it worth $5? Damned if I know. But since it has jetpacks I'm giving it a try at $5.
Using any of those 50% off codes will also apparently give me a hat in the game, and I god damn love hats.

I really, really want to buy Alpha Protocol but Steam doesn't carry it for Singapore IPs. Is there any way to get this at Steam deal prices? I missed out on Xmas sale cause it wasn't available for my region. :(

Haven't seen it at Steam deal prices anywhere recently. I think the Christmas sale was the last time I saw it marked down. If it shows up again though, your best bet would be Paypaling a trusted American buddy the price and have him gift it to you via Steam. Steam might not let you buy it, but if you get it gifted it'll be fine.

Or wait for it to go on sale somewhere that doesn't have it region restricted. Since that's probably a publisher decision I dunno if there are places for that though.

Yup, it's pretty good (for what it is). I bought it on the Christmas sale for 7,5 € and I definitely got my money's worth.

Does Darksiders get better than fist pounding baddies for abundant green health souls, and sword-whack grinding for blue soul money? Along with chests full of green souls in generous amounts. The abilities yellow souls allowed you didn't seem that impressive or interesting either from what I'd seen, even when you could transform into some demon form at the game's opening before you lost your powers. Forgot, you also get to throw cars and other junk with the most made for console ever targeting interface.

I can appreciate it's just not my type of game, but the combat was just dull and repetitive to me. And not every Octorok in Zelda would drop a heart if you hit it with a boomerang instead of a sword.

They'll probably offer the base Global Agenda free at this rate. The Steam forum for the game is nothing but people posting those discount codes as they get some kind of in-game kickback when someone uses them. A while ago I said I'd try the game if it dipped below $20 but at the rate it's going I just don't have much interest in it at all. The 'PvE' MMO aspects are fairly weak and, ultimately, all it serves to do is force you to grind to a certain level to participate in the PvP -- which is already fairly similar to TF2 or other mainstream team based FPS games out there where you don't have to worry about level/gear.

It's not really a MMO. It's Unreal Tournament with Jetpacks and progression on top.

Few RPG deals on Steam. NWN2 Platinum $10, and The Witcher Supreme Director's Cut Premium Collector's Limited Edition $10.

Pirated TWitcher ages ago, but never finished it (even though I thought it was fun as fuck). I guess it is worth the monies. Might as well.

For its flaws it is still a good deal for $10. I'd get Sacred 2 if it wasn't for the SecuRom.

Dammit, they never have Risen on sale when I feel like playing it. I'm interested, but not 30 dollar interested.

NWN 2 Platinum is a lot of game for 10 bucks. Between the OC, MoTB, SoZ, and there seems to be some pretty cool user-created campaigns.

Gothic series on Midweek sale for 75% off. Also there's a new enhanced/stand-alone Forsaken Gods edition available for $2.50.

Hot damn. 5,75€ for Gothic 1, Gothic 2 + NotR and Gothic 3. That's more than just a sweet deal. This is some pretty awesome gifting material, but I know none of my bros are manly enough to survive those games.
Gothic 4 and Forsaken Gods can go fuck themselves though. Even at 12 euros for Gothic 4 I'm still not compelled enough to go and try it for the lulz.

Damn thats a good deal, Gothic 1 and Gothic 2: Notr are excellent must play games, and Gothic 3 is prety good with the community patch. Forsaken gods and Arcania should be avoided like the plague though, actually the plague is better if you are ever forced to chose between the two, there is a chance that you might survive the plague after all.

Yeah I would almost give this good shit to some one I know, but I am afraid that none of my friends would be able to make it as far as the old camp ( well excluding two who I know already played them) dying on the first scavenger.

It seems like I've totally missed out on NOTR. I though it was some german-only addon with just a few more hours of gameplay. I guess I'm wrong?

Oh yes you are wrong. NotR fleshes out the G2 experience, adding also a new area. It's worth playing right from the beginning, even if you had played G2 already. (Get ready for some raep at the beginning, it's not so easy...)

Oh yes indeed! It is worthy to be called an expansion. If you like Gothic 2, it makes it just bigger and better.
