Deadfire performance got worse the more they patched it.

When i first played Deadfire my game was A fine playing on high (place with a ton of light had some lag tho), nowdays i need to play on Medium. It's sad.

lol, this review guy ( https://youtu.be/xb7Am7VtzLQ?t=340 ) says his RTX 2080 Ti (a thousand dollar card) wasn't able to keep 60fps at 1440p in TOW when things got crowded or in some cities.

good to know the game will have that classic Obsidian performance, where current flagship hardware won't be enough to hold 60fps at a standard resolution in crowded areas.

For fuck sake it took me 10 hours to pre-load the game because XGP's download speed is load of crap and when the download finishes it says something is wrong and needs to "resuming" the game. Then it ask me to download the game again despite it already took 37 GB of space from my hard drive.

Disagree. Cain and Boyarsky explicitly asked the owners to prevent any interference by Sawyer, plus he quickly lost his (fake) producer role.

Edit: The owners told Sawyer not to interfere, but it's not clear if Cain and Boyarsky asked for it.

As design director he still has the ability to provide feedback, they're just free to disregard anything they disagree with. Clearly they agreed to play it much safer than Troika ever did or even pre-Sawyersidian.

Scope of projects can spiral out of control due to failures at the production level (bad data fed to directors) or project directors with good data making delusional decisions.

"Project directors with good data making delusional decisions" doesn't seem to describe this considering the finished product, so I guess that really is Shiny Objects Sawyer.
