Nice, I will pre-load once I get my PC back in the middle of next week. With an i7-3770K and a Radeon 7970 I should be good for a while, and good for this game at 2560 x 1440 with everything maxed out.

I suppose you can always try a US server (as a guest or as a first choice) and swap if the lag is an issue. The server swaps are free on launch, yeah?

Do keep in mind that guesting won't be available while the server transfers are free.

Also, regarding the guild, the upgrades you buy with influence are separated for each server.

Gandara it is.

Gandara is starting to look pretty weak and rather filled up. Aurora Glade seems alright, decent 3W guild composition, though nothing to say about their PvP lineup.

All this server bs My latvian guild is going Far Shiverpeaks, I guess I'll have that as home (especially if that guild upgrades thing is true).

BTW in case you guys didn't know, game servers may open up to 3 hours early. So CET that's 06:00 AM.

Yeap.
Seafarer's Rest looks like one of the better choices among the more populated (but not the most populated) servers.

My Alts will be based on name-securing only really, got 3-4 I really want, and the 'One name per ALL servers' rule will make it harder later on me-reckons.

It's hard... I kind of want to play all the professions, they all are fun and interesting - this is the first game where I've been this excited by a launch... except for say, ME3 (let's not talk about that though).

That's 4 am to me. Going with a norn warrior but first going to reserve my name plus anything witty I can think of before the game goes online. Also, remember they may open the servers 3 hours early.

This is the first mmo i am actually thinking about getting on launch and playing.. thing is im not sure how it would perform on my 3 year old laptop. dot he graphics options scale decently? anybody know?

Can't rightly say about gfx, but there was a fair amount of options to toggle, at least, and they did seem to get more and more stable and smooth with each build.

Anyway, looks like we've settled on our guild server (This isn't a Codexia guild mind, this is the one we run with GF) - Gunnar's Hold. Seems to be most "international" of them all, populations seem to be reasonable, and there's guilds that are both going for 3W and sPvP, though I'm not sure if that latter thing is good, or if it means longer queues?

So yeah, if Dex decides to assemble on GH, we'll be there with our crew, trollin' and patrollin' - unless it turns out shit and we need to move to greener pastures (or if it fills up, gawd). That's really not set in stone.
