Blacktide - russians, NOPE.
Desolation - UK, very populated. has rus corp - zergiest bullshit guild ever. ruined an entire aion server.
Far Shiverpeaks - scandinavian/dutch, very populated
Gandara - UK, very populated, but less than Desolation.

Whiteside Ridge and Aurora Glade looks like good candidates. Since WvWvW is server-based, they might get a lot shorter queues, I guess?

EDIT: urgh, Reddit is parking on Whiteside Ridge. Tons of italians as well.
Fuck it, it's gonna be Gandara or Aurora Ridge for me.

How official are the unoffical tags?

The tags are official afaik (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/introducing-the-worlds-of-guild-wars-2/) and the "untagged" servers have been chosen by the community as unofficial language servers.

Underworld doesn't seem very populated and there aren't any russian guilds allocated there yet. Also, keep mind that has been word that it might be possible to switch servers at the beginning for no cost:

Gandara seems fine, it's unofficial UK server so that's a big plus. Underworld looks too underpopulated. Still it seems like codex will be quite fragmented indeed.

Split between whichever server the 'dex rolls with and whichever server a couple of 'kwa buds of mine are gonna roll with. I guess I'll make up my mind after launch, once all the major russian guilds have been allocated

GMT-1 for the ES one, GMT +1 for FR/DE. GMT-GMT+2 for the rest I suppose.

Since you can guest on any server and the guilds can be cross-server too, it should just be one big international Kodex guild. The people from every continent could just choose their own server to roll on and guest to play with the Kodexers from the other continent.

But can you join guilds as a guest player?
