I'm too lazy to provide sources, but I've heard

(A) The Curse giveaway is only for Premium members.
(B) Mesmers start with the Scepter now.
(C) I don't understand why Black called me a boar.

Over there.
I'd grab a key, but at this point I am completely and utterly burned out on GW2. Mind you, I haven't played any of the betas, rather the development and prerelease hype has just been way too much. Same goes for TSW. I understand drumming up enthusiasm for a game is all part of the marketing scheme, but just once, I'd love it if a developer would say "Oh, BTW, we've been working on XXXXX. It releases next month."

Myeah, I kind of miss the days of going by a game store and being like "Ohhhh, THIS is out? Sweet!"

but how would they sell the kwazillion units needed to break even without marketing telling all the hype kiddies what to buy and when for, like, a year or two?

I'll take your beta keys from you, if you like. I don't follow game news so I'm very fresh in regards to this issue. :)

I kinda agree. But I think it's not so much magnitude of hype but just that it's been hyped for sooo long. I remember wanting to play GW2 like 2 years ago.

Ironically, having played a lot during both beta weekends... I am not at all burnt out by the game.

lol, same thing, was gonna try and grab a key but then I thought just fuck it, I can play the game when it's released, especially with the recent cash shop leak fiasco, have to see how that one turns out.

Heck, the game was announced 5 years ago when there was barely any info on it. I guess that way they had an excuse to slow the updating in the original GW and not make it look like they faded from earth but it led to a lot of anticipation, speculation and hype on the GW2 front.

I'm on the fence for buying this game; been waiting to see if I could snag a beta key to make my mind up or not. I missed out on that Curse giveaway by like 2 hours; if anyone could spare a beta key I'd be really appreciative.

Thanks, bros. :bro:

It's pretty neat but I think I'll just give GW2 a rest until release so I'm not utterly burned out on it by then.

I should probably also look into upgrading my processor. The game gets a bit choppy at times and I think my aging core2 duo is the weakest link in my computer atm. (Shit... Will probably have to buy a new mobo as well then).

502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server.

There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server.

what the shit

Ye, got it working after like 10 tries and re-entering the same info.
Good job Blizzard!
