Ahh. Yeah. Basically for the most part Soule's music does what it's supposed to do, be in the background. Don't think he's ever been meant to be Tchaikovsky or the likes. Does have at least one really good soundtrack under his belt, too - IWD music is great; GW2 music, imo, is in some instances pretty close in quality to that, so eh. 4 disks, good stuff for my playlist.

I wish they would finalize the classes/skills so I could play around with the character builder. How am I supposed to build up unreasonable hype for myself the way it is now?!

I think next BWE should more or less finalize the builds. Until then, build up the unreasonable hype by thinking that IT WILL BE AWESOME!!!! and stuffies.

Nah, they still need to do some work on the Mesmer. Clones are pretty useless unless you spam shatter them. Yeah they did damage in BWE1 but still I really wish the clones could be used as "mesmer-y" confusing distractions rather than just making Mesmers a pseudo-pet class.

Mesmers also need to start with something else than a melee weapon. Probably the worst idea ever to have given a shortsword or whatever it was to intro to the class.

Eh you can easily buy a new weapon within 15 minutes of the game. Not that I disagree.

Yeah I know. Still not the best idea to give that as a starter weapon. Scepter or Stave, maybe, since 2H Sword is just too awesome to start with right away.

Also Ranger with axe is kinda iffy imo, gives a totally wrong first impression, just like Mesmer.

Speaking of the OST and Jeremy Soule, I just stumbled with this quote of his regarding piracy:

Well problem with Scepter is that it is shitty right now, lol. Stave would be good, but I think they want to start you with a 1her so that they can give you an offhander at the end of the tutorial mission.

I think Axe is okay, because it is a ranged weapon.

Oh it is? Didn't play Mes that much so can't rightly tell. Can it be shittier than 1h Sword? Not sure, at least a newbie won't get insta-squished by a mob in his first public event.

And yeah, axe is kinda okay, but it's just kinda like "Huh? I expected a bow?" kind of a thing there. Plus it starts with AoE which is sorta weird on its own as you can end up pulling more "neutrals" than intended - as a newbie of course.

Actually I think it's just temporarily for BWE2. Basically they made it so clones do 0 damage, and the Scepter's 1st skill generates clones every third swing. Secondly, they're having trouble balancing Confusion condition between PVE and PVP (though IIRC they just figured out a mechanism to separate the condition magnitudes between PVE and PVP), and that's the 3rd skill of the Scepter. And I forget, but I think the Scepter's 2nd skill also creates a clone.

So they just need to do some balancing.

Publicity boosts don't really help him. It's not like he's out giving concerts and selling t-shirts (AFAIK at least). But I expect he's paid a flat rate, not as a % of total profit, so I'm not sure what he has to complain about when piracy literally wouldn't affect him at all either way.

You'd be surprised how many people think that generic orchestra tracks are amazing, IIRC even KC himself is Soule's fan!
Though I'm not surprised he calls himself a Jew.
