I currently have 42 and am going to 47 just for the fuck of it.

No way I'm maxing it, though, I'd need 15 more minipets + obsidian armour for that, and yeah, good luck with that.

heh, yeah, obsidian is a bitch and fucking ugly for most classes...
not worth maxing hom unless they implement some additional secret reward for a maxed one... if you want an elite title, you're better of maxing koab which also transfers if maxed, which is what i am doing right now.

You can link HoM whenever you want but keep in mind that if you don't link it ASAP someone may take your character name which you've been using since GW1. And that'd be a fatal blow if you couldn't role-play as your good old MultiheadeDick.

What if people with 50/50 points get a free beta pass? :M

Ideallly I'd like to get 15 points for that orrian chicken but anything beyond 10 seems to require either too much grind or money.

friend of mine absolutely detests grind or playing for long. he managed to get to middle twenties just by doing zaishen and war in kryta dailies for a while and skipping the missions that would take long.

I think I have 4-5 FoW armors? A bunch of froggies and some rare weapon. Honestly the fastest way to make money was (and maybe still is) DoA, about 1 hour for 100k, consider that I've been playing (albeit I haven't logged in a year or so) since the beginning. 1 hour a day average, mostly doing pvp or high end areas (Furnace of Sorrow used to be the shit in Prop only times).

Skills no longer cost energy.
That's...strange. Resource management has always been a big part of MMO combat, I wonder how they balance it now. Just on cooldowns? It'll be interesting to see how it turns out on the demo.

It is strange, but more likely than not they're removing the energy cost only for gamescom to see how it'll work out.

That it does. Getting a great weapon drop, but not being able to use it to full effect because first you have to hit mobs for some time to unlock the skills...

Nothing wrong with skill trainers, not reason to change what works well. But I guess they are just testing stuff like Black said.

Asura creation

I am so glad they went away from the cutesy rounded look.

Yeah, they look more like gremlins/goblins that would very gladly feast on your flash.
Still, if it's not human, it's shit :M

Looks good, combat appears to be fast-paced enough, but not reliant on stunlock + 2-shots and healspam. Nice.

Damn, I'm sure as hell not going to play a melee class/build.

Looks like a popamole game that has completely different gameplay from GW1 (as if we didn't know before). Whether or not I'll be able to have fun with it will probably depend on how well I can get into the controls.

I would imagine the melee/ranged will still be rebalanced, otherwise there's no point in melee classes.

what melee classes? even those that have no ranged weapons (so far, prolly likely to change eventually) have ranged attack skills.
plus ranged can be dodged, same as gw1.
