I played the English patched Dragon Quest 5 for Playstation 2 a few years back, and it was one of the better games in the series, IMO. I can't recall if the translation was flawless, but it wasn't too bad.I’ve only played 2/3/5/11. I quite liked the translation with faux olde english, it fit the setting and was serviceable at worst, charming at best..
When I tried the snes version of 5 a few years ago it was a popular fan translation and the spelling/syntax errors were a big put-off.. I only made it about 10 hours, I’d like to pick it up again sometime. Anyone know if the ps2 “port” is worth playing?
When is the DS version of any game ever the best version to play on PC? That two screens shit does not look good on a computer monitor. What's the best version on PC (DS one?)

Stay away from 8 and 9,they are absolutely boring as fuck.I hear 8 is the next best
To be honest Dragon Quest as a whole is 'boring as fuck', the only one people can really say they like to an extent is either 3 or maybe 5.Stay away from 8 and 9,they are absolutely boring as fuck.I hear 8 is the next best
"Most hardcore" to them means difficult enough to keep your eyes open while playing. The only hard part in DQ2 is finding the hidden items.Playing DW2 on NES because I heard it was more hardcore
